On Thursday Eric Holder and the Department of Justice filed suit against Arizonas Maricopa County Sheriffs office run by the outspoken and flamboyant Joe Arpaio whos made it a personal crusade to uphold U.S. immigrations laws when the feds wont.
Eric Holder and the Obama Administration are applying the full weight of the federal governments resources into trying to stop the new Arizona immigration law, but thats only one of the multi-front attacks theyve setup to make sure states are stripped of their ability to enforce U.S. immigration laws. Now the DOJ is suing the most active and largest sheriffs office in Arizona (Sheriff Joe Arpaios office has 189 officers) by extending an investigation into alleged civil rights violations.
Back in March of 2009 the DOJ informed sheriff Arpaio that a probe was underway to investigate what the DOJ claimed were alleged patterns or practices of discriminatory police practices and unconstitutional searches and seizures. This is where things get sticky for Eric Holder and the Obama Administration.
Six months prior to this investigation the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE) had already conducted its own investigation of sheriff Arpaios office and not only gave it a clean bill of health, they actually gave a raving review. Here’s an old article from WND about what happened in New River, AZ. We lived about a mile for Starflash Ranch, where all the “explosives” was stored. The whole thing was a fiasco. This article, while it leaves out a bunch of the drama, is fairly comprehensive of the event.
Every night we were treated to surveillance by those non-existent black helicopters. At one point, a neighbor called the FAA to complain. They said there were not helicopters in the area. The neighbor said, “so you won’t mind if we shoot them down?”. Luckily, it didn’t come to that.
I was followed by the ATF when I went hiking. They’d drive by our house on quads, dressed in riot gear with M-16 slung over their shoulders. The ATF did all kinds of strange things while encamped at the Ranch. They were using a small helicopter to fly in and out of the ranch. They’d fly right over our house - very low. We could clearly see their faces. One evening, they flew down to Ray’s Pizza on Carefree Hwy to pick up some dinner. They some how caused a car accident. No more little helicopter after that.

That's hardly a fair observation. Certainly the DOJ's efforts on behalf of Mexico's narcotrafficante drug cartels also deserve equal recognition!
"Get Arpaio!"
The truth nailed by the second post. Well done.
That ICE report was probably written by a bunch of White guys...../s
