These are the same Taliban who oppressed women, destroyed historic religious antiquities, and provided sanctuary to OBL. We did not have diplomatic relations with Afghanistan when the Taliban were in charge. The Taliban are killing Americans daily. If they are not the enemy, who is?
I just emailed this to my daughter at Camp Eggers in Kabul. I suggested that she post it on the bulletin board of the nearest infantry unit and advise them that they’ve been fighting the wrong enemy all along, or so says the dumbest man on the planet.
