I believe the USPS is the largest employer of military veterans in the nation.
Purely circumstantial since it is the 2nd largest civilian employer in the United States. My personal experiences with the USPS tell me that it is a highly bloated and egregiously inefficient organization. I would like to see it privatized and auctioned off to FedEx and UPS.

It depends where you live. Out here in nowheresville, our postal carriers are friends and neighbors, and we get great service. All the delivery drivers are very nice, USPS, FedEx, UPS. We get more broken stuff through UPS, though.
