On Wednesday’s “Morning Joe” on MSNBC, host Joe Scarborough and guests were in agreement: The press was “in the bag” for Barack Obama during his 2008 campaign.
The conversation kicked off referencing Fox News Channel’s Bill O’Reilly’s recent interview with former President Bill Clinton.
“We talked about it before, … [O’Reilly] trying to get it out of the President [Clinton] that the press favored Barack Obama by a longshot over Hillary Clinton,” Scarborough said. “And you followed Hillary around in 2008 and just saw, everyday, incoming [attacks] against not only Hillary Clinton, but anybody who supported her.”

It’s always refreshing when the MSM admit the obvious. But I’m sure it was a lapse, and they’ll be right back in the tank for Obama as if this discussion never happened.

Three years in office and not a single scandal, no relation to a scandal and absolutely no wrongdoing by anyone he has ever even heard of. The lovefest has continued since day one.

At least they have removed the blinders—in 2008 Hillary was screwed. the MSM worked overtime to slant the news, ask the soft questions to get Obama elected—only to have bought a “pig in a poke” who turned out to be a poor leader and a weak president. At least the truth is out for them. Maybe they can re-think things and select someone else in 2012.

That was the only bright spot of the 2008 election season. Watching and listening to the Clintons whine that the press was favoring Obama at the expense of Hillary. Favorable press is the only reason Clinton isn’t in jail. They were correct of course. If Obama was white, the presstitutes would have ripped him to pieces and HC would be president now.
Well, except that it appears MJ thinks the press should have been in the tank for Hilary, and made a mistake in favoring 0 over her.
It's more than that...they are admitting that they are just realizing it, and by association that they couldn't see it at the time. They were just root, root, rooting for Zero to win.
They knew all along that they were in the tank for Obama. That’s what the whole “Journo List” flap was about — journalists informally swapping ideas as to how best to advocate for the democrat candidate.
But for the MSM every day is a new day. Call them on an admission like this tomorrow and they’ll either ‘play dumb’, quibble with your wording or say it’s ‘old News’ and demand we ‘move on’!
