I may not agree with the policy but it appears there to stay. But just because gays get to serve openly doesn’t mean they get a pass on acting professionally in and out of uniform, or get to be cowards in the face of nation’s enemies.
If you are going to be queer in the military, you better be a card carrying killer of men queer. Our very safety and soveriegnty demands it.

The hump festival will begin in earnest. The Captain's Mast will have new meaning.

I hope that's the case, if they must be let in, then they must be up to the job. I know it is their country too but I cannot see how a homosexual lifestyle can be compatible with a military lifestyle. I have a good friend who is gay, I have no problem with that, but I an never see him in the military, even he admits that. We do need to cut the PC crap and say, "do your job or you're out."
If I had any kids, the way things are now and appear to be headed, I would not want them in the military, I would discourage them. If they want to defend he country, I would suggest joining one of the unorganized militias.
One of my younger co-workers wanted to sign up after 9-11 happened, his father said, "if you do, I'll beat you up and disown you." His father was a Vietnam Vet and remembers all the abuse he went through when he came home.
