Questionnaires sent to candidates really irritate me.

Is someone can lie through a job application, a candidate can lie through a questionnaire.

Ron Paul org, essentially. Why would Perry need to respond?

There is NO QUESTION that Rick has always supported both the 2nd Amendment and the 10th Amendment of the Constitution...............

Not necessary to have him fill our a “form”.

I’d like to know if there is some specific question they need an answer to? I take a dim view to questionnaires/signed pledges for candidates as well.

What BS. I hate the organizations that spout about this. While I am not a supporter of Perry, I can fathom a guess that his stance is slightly more pro gun than Mitt.

hey have been described by Congressman Ron Paul as “The only no-compromise gun lobby in Washington.” This quote from Paul has long been displayed front and center on the homepage of the Gun Owners of America website, and Paul was the only 2008 Presidential candidate to gain an A+ rating from Gun Owners of America.[5]

NOW WHY WOULD PERRY GIVE THIS BUNCH A SECOND THOUGHT.

Their members spend their time smearing him. So who cares what they send out.

They belong to skeletor.

They’re ALL “pro-Second Amendment” - until they get into the White House.

Perry is a solid A+, no doubt in my mind.

Perry has been very pro 2A—recently he signed the bill that stopped employers from prohibiting CHL holders from keeping handguns in their cars, and Perry supported the bill that would have allowed CHL holders to carry at universities (Straus, the liberal Texas speaker of the house, never let the bill come up for vote in the Texas House, even though it passed all committees and the Senate).

Perry probably now pro-Second Amendment....before he was anti-2d Amendment

Kinda like when he is now pro- 10th Amendment...before he was anti-10th Amendment with his NAFTA Superhighway nonsense

2nd Amendment? Rick’s still trying to get his head around the Preamble.

I don’t know why he wouldn’t fill out the form. It’s not hard to do, and I think it would help him. I’m not worried about his answers, but there’s no harm in filling out this form.

He's the only candidate running who has had a gun named for him for god's sake.

Ruger .380 True Texan Coyote Special

How Does Rick Perry Relax? By Shooting Off Sniper Rifles. ‘It’s My Golf’

Gov. Perry Teaches Me To Shoot

For some reason my buddy Melissa never told me she had this video of Gov. Rick Perry teaching me to shoot his Ruger last year (the one he shot the coyote with!). This is just too cool. I’ll say this about Gov. Perry. He is a down to earth guy. It wasn’t just me that he taught to shoot his gun that day. It was about 6 or 7 other Texas bloggers. I’ve had quite a few opportunities like this with the Governor because he is so willing to be with us regular folks. He spends a lot of time getting to know the person he’s speaking with as well. The bloggers that he invited to shoot with him were not some big time writers. We were just regular people who decided to get involved in the political process in order to make a difference in our country. Perry didn’t have to spend time with us or even invite us. If it were good media he was looking for, he could have invited hundreds of other professional writers with a lot more readership than ours.

Candidates shouldn't fill out any of these goofy questionnaires. They are just a way for organizations to try to muscle their way into campaigns; screaming “look at me, I'm important; fill out my questionnaire”.

It's the same way with the evangelical groups here in Iowa. They desperately want to be seen as important; and the “gatekeeper” for certain issues.
Well they are not important. The candidates can speak for themselves, and I will think for myself.
Perry doesn't have to fill out a groups questionnaire; pretty clear where he stands with gun rights.
