Spencer Bachus could face primary challenge

Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-Ala.), the chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, could face a primary challenge.

According to the Birmingham News, Scott Beason, a conservative firebrand in the state Senate, is seriously considering a run.

Bachus has bucked his party on a variety of issues, working early on with Democrats on the Troubled Asset Relief Program, which bailed out Wall Street, and admitting publicly that he thought Wall Street executives should be limited in their executive compensation.

Beason is best known for his controversial bill targeting illegal immigration in the state, and could prove a tough challenger for Bachus should he decide to run.

Go for it....the ONLY hope to get the RINO’s out is to Primary them. Unfortunately, funding from the Establishment Elite will make every challenge VERY difficult, but it’s our only hope to take the Country back.

Yep.

This jerk, in particular, needs to go- if merely for him blaming Palin (after all of her efforts) for not winning control of the Senate.

Bachus has a history of self-dealing and insider trading. He also favored TARP, wanted us to pay off all third world debts and btw blamed Sarah Palin for the GOP failure to win the Senate majority on 2010. Someone that stupid should not be allowed to vote on actual laws.

What I get from this piece is we promoted our TARP guy to being the head of the committee that gives free money to banks.

I live in Michigan but if Beason challenges Bachus, I’ll gladly send him money as I am to Richard Mourdock, the guy challenging Lugar.

This is the only way you’re gonna get their attention. You need to politically whack them and take them out of office.

2010 could be dismissed by the establishment as a “fluke”, but what the tea party giveth the tea party can taketh away.

this is good news...

time to get the ‘career’ folks out of House and Senate...term limits are a must for the future of America...we can not have the same old dudes making all the decisions for this Country....

This further highlights the need to fill Precinct Committeeman slots.
Scott is the real deal. I believe Spence can look forward to retiring on his slush funds.
