This is MSNBC so I don’t know what to believe.

It's also an AP story using information from the Virginia Republican Party.

Buckwheat has had his apponents removed from the ballot many times. What’s so different here? I the’re not on the ballot, why not WRITE them in?

As I read this it appears it is up to the Republican party whether or not to accept signatures.

How do we know this was done in a proper manner?

Or did the RINO pick who they wanted on the ballot.

Something appears fishy. Yesterday Newt had the signatures, today the party doesn’t accept the signatures.

I smell RINO’s.

Gingrich.

Cain is intelligent, and fine businessman, but he didn’t take his own campaign seriously, and he never planned on winning. He did not familiarize himself with basic domestic & foreign policy issues.

(There I said it - as Levin likes to say. Cue the thread war.)

All I know is that yesterday both Gingrich and Perry submitted over 11,000 signatures for review. News is that many of Gingrich’s petitions did not have addresses (I do not know this for a fact) and until there is more information, that Perry’s didn’t meet their criteria in some way.

Sounds like it’s true, and another clear indication at what is really going on here.

We have a dangerous candidate in Mitt Romney. Newt is the man of the hour and the moment.

Everyone who is undecided needs to listen to this speech. Then choose.

...Newt is the man of the hour and the moment...

Newt Gingrich has been consulting and speaking a lot since leaving office Jan 3, 1999 under a cloud.

Gov. Perry is the long term executive of "business and jobs haven" Texas. Need I say more?

the requirements in Virginia are unreasonable

Boy, they sure seem that way. By setting such a high bar, they may end up making themselves irrelevant. I wouldn't expect much of a turnout -- though Romney and Paul will be happy to take their delegates anyway.

“Thank goodness Cain’s not in the race anymore or we might have had to vote for an actual conservative who was prepared.”

Prepared? Cain was prepared? For what? Total waste of time? He’s now doing what he was prepared to do. He’s talking at concerts, selling books, sitting on millions of dollars of sucker comtributions, etc. Maybe he’ll get another radio show or become a substitute host for Rush too. Prepared.

At this point, a strategic alliance between the Perry and Gingrich campaigns would be in order, to open up the window of time to get more signatures.

Either that, or both campaigns will send resources elsewhere, and just hang “Vote for Ron Paul” signs outside their empty campaign offices, so as to deprive Romney of delegates.

This is amateurish.

Yes, petitions are passed by volunteers.

The last thing we need is another POTUS who can't keep his pants on!

Memo to Virginia Republican voters: Mark the write-in line, and the candidate’s name is spelled “S-A-R-A-H P-A-L-I-N”. Really, I’ve seen just about as much of the superior preparedness and organization of this field as I can stand.

I guess I am voting Paul. This is F’ing ridiculous. My conspiracy theory is this was setup so Gov RINO McDonnell either can vote present on the endorsement cycle and not piss anyone off or he can get away with doing what he wantd (endorse Romney) without pissing anyone off.
