Just some broken eggs, folks. Nothing to get concerned about.

I can understand Mexico’s allure pre-cartels. But now? Why take the risk? Is any area really safe in that forsaken country?

I’m guessing this story is not going to appear on the mexicotaxiproject.com.

I’m not sure how dangerous Mexico is, anyway, compared to places like East St. Louis, IL. I remember some Mexican American non-coms on the Army, who were nicest, most family oriented people (aside from Mormons, possibly) that I had ever known in my life.

Just had a nice one. And another planned for 2012.
It turns out that the drug violence is confined to the drug corridors.
Killings in Chicago don’t make Omaha a risky place to visit.

It turns out that the drug violence is confined to the drug corridors. Somehow I don't find that too reassuring. Is there a map of the free-fire zones?

Americans died because of illegal drug use in the US? American illegal drug users - too stupid, lazy and chicken to change their reality, so they take illegal drugs to try and escape their reality for a few minutes and thereby fund some of the most heinous criminals the world has ever known.

I avoid East St. Louis. But that’s easy for me.

I can understand Mexicos allure pre-cartels. But now? Why take the risk?If it is the story I'm thinking of (and not another killing by the Mexican bandits) they were legals going back home to visit family for the holidays.
Due to corruption and violence at the border, many Legals are taking the bus these days rather than trying to drive. The days of going home with just a $50 bribe to the border guards is apparently over.

The popular coastal towns are generally safe. Avoid the areas that are in the major north-south corridors. Note how Puerto Vallarta is off the corridor, but Mazatlan is on it. Cabo and Cancun would also appear safe.

Many illegals holding false citizanship return home during the Holidays to aquire new identies so as to avoid income and fica taxes. They file exempt and when the feds come looking for them that one can’t be found.
