Actually a lot of them apparently come from “1%” families and are quite well off.
The Chinese send in tanks to crush occupiers and the Americans send in lawyers to crush the occupiers. Result is the same, oppress any dissent against the ruling class. One uses bloody method and the other uses financial method, but the theme is the same. It is easy to tell the other side that one must put up the shutdown of commerce, in China workers who joined the students can use lead pipes and attack the police, violate all public ordnance and laws on demonstrations, and we say these demonstrators had the right to stay forever!!!! Now our elites face the same type of demonstration. Numbers substantially smaller, lesser scale of violence against our police (at least they got close enough to tear down tents), occupation duration lot less and our leaders cannot take the pressure and order the police to move in to remove them and now decide to cripple OWS movement using lawyers. I cannot imagine if the OWS was in the tens of thousands, blockade police movements and fought them with lead pipe clubs. Will American elites call in gunship strikes, declare martial law and have them all sent to FEMA camps??!!!!! The theme of my posting is our elites are quick to lecture others, but fall short when it happens to them. OWS will be back in the spring when the weather gets better. Hope the city leaders are ready.
