Michelle Obama was looking for help from more than just House Republicans so her husband could make it to Hawaii in time for Christmas.
"We were all praying and praying, and asking Santa, and the tooth fairy, and every fairy they could think of," the first lady said Saturday. She said their children prayed as well that the president "would be able to be with us."
President Barack Obama eventually made it to Hawaii, about a week late, and only after Congress resolved its stalemate over extending expiring payroll tax cuts.
With the tense tax standoff behind him, the president has eased into vacation mode since arriving on the island of Oahu Friday night, spending a low-key Christmas Eve out of the spotlight.
Obama skipped his normal early morning gym workout Saturday, opting to spend time at the multimillion-dollar vacation home his family rents in the Kailua Beach area, near Honolulu. He headed to the golf course later in the day.

That is the stupidest, most disgusting thing I’ve ever read.
If she wanted to be with the boy so bad, she could have waited in DC till he could come.
Duh.
What’s wrong with talking about dogs? There’s a dog on this thread and I’m not talking about the cute one.
I give my 10 year old Lab glucosimine and have for years. Do you think giving one of those fish oil things is beneficial? He weighs 103 pounds and I want to keep him healthy.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I definitely think it would help. There is a doctor whom I respect very much & he said that all of the research is pointing to Vitamin D & fish oil as the only supplements w/ data driven results. It certainly cannot hurt, only help. Walgreen’s always has the buy one get one free deal on supplements & I give them the same fish oil cap that my husband & I take. I get the one a day cap.
Glad to hear that you have been doing lucosamine for years. We just started about 7 months ago. I have noticed less stiffness.
“How about she stay her fat _ss home for once.”
Thats the truth. Whats wrong with Camp David or gee I don’t know the White House for Christmas?
[”We were all praying and praying, and asking Santa...]
Praying to Santa? Really? Do you know how many gifts ‘Santa’ brings their children...NONE.
Adorable! A dachshund?
Merry Christmas!
I definitely KNOW from personal experience that Vitamin D helps people. I didn’t know about the doggy thing. thanks.
Whoa....why the hell did Sensenbrenner recant??
Go get some MSM and Turmeric caps from Wally World.
If you’re giving salmon oil, make sure it’s labeled “Wild caught salmon” or something similar.
Sorry to leave you hangin'....trying to get *The Dinner* organized.
Yes, doggie supps....our Winchester [see homepage] has developed itchy skin....seems to have coincided with the heat being turned on. Salamander, our wonderful go-to resident self-taught vet recommended Alaskan salmon oil caps. Winnie has been on them for only a week ...we're hoping in a month, we'll see some improvement. We're also trying Jojoba oil rubbed into his worse spots ...but the stuff leaves an oily patch on the floor/carpet/chair wherever he lays down. Hoping to avoid expensive vet bills with all of this; I can almost predict the vet will put him on steroids; trying to avoid that scenerio.
Merry Christmas!!!
Here’s a easy comparison chart of the salmon caps [saves a lot of time comparing yourself]:

Are you diluting the Jojoba?
A tiny bit shaken up in a spray bottle of warm water goes a -very- long way and leaves no “oily spots”.
I bought a bottle of pure Jojoba oil 10 years ago and still have 2/3 of it left.
I made a 10% solution Johoba/water
Ut oh...I used tap/city water. Should I have used distilled water?
No, tap water’s fine if it’s not heavily chlorinated.
Try reducing the Jojoba some more.
I put maybe a half teaspoon in a huge bottle of hair conditioner and it lasts six months or more.
It’s very concentrated stuff.
You could also try pure glycerin and water.
Glycerin is a humectant and will keep the moisture in his skin.
Unless you can find out if it’s an internal or external itch problem, I can’t think of anything else.
Have you tried a home made diet?
Boiled ground turkey/chicken and brown rice, maybe?
Ack!
All it needs is some dolls and a clown!
As for the homemade diet. LOL....wish you had said *ham* [I know, I know]...seems that we had a hogzilla yesterday and ...gosh....do we have leftover ham!
I appreciate your suggestions. We'll keep trying.
Nommmmmmmmmmmm....turkey!!!! Oi!!!
