The Sunday Morning Bray”, by Bray!

Greet one another with a kiss of LOVE. Peace to all of you who are in Christ. 1 Peter 5:14

While all of the District of Corruption are saying how President $oro$ and Dirtbag Harry won this latest battle over the tax cuts they missed the most important part of the story. The one thing neither of them swore they would allow made it through without discussion. The one piece of the bill that can potentially destroy both of their goals is going to be front page for the next two months while the Presidential candidates’ debate for it and that is the Keystone pipeline. Who cares about a phony tax cut when we should be axing to double the cut when you have one of the biggest energy sources in America about to hit the proverbial windmill?

Over the next 60 days there needs to be a nonstop discussion of whether we are ever going to get serious about energy independence or are we forever going to be strangled by the environazis? We have the entire house as well as a majority of senators from both parties as well as 7 candidates who have a forum to mount the greatest battle of our time. Rather than being distracted by a misnamed payroll tax cut that we should have been suggesting doubling and really put them on defense, we need to go to war over this Canadian pipeline. We are on the right side of this debate as it will make a thousand times the jobs the tax cut will while sending money to our closest neighbor to the north. He has no reason other than another gift to the anti-America crowd who has owned this issue for the past three decades, where is our Patton?

Our leaders need to go to the American people and say they will not only agree to cutting the American taxpayers taxes 20 bucks a week but will match that with another 20 dollars from the employer which will be passed back to the employee. We need to stand by our belief that lowering taxes creates jobs and stimulates the economy and if SociSecurity goes under then the sooner the better. This is a twofer in that it will not only put a spotlight on the Ponzi scheme but lowering taxes and reforming SS are two items that need to be done while we can then change the new subject to the pipeline which is the most important part of this bill and our economy’s future.

Lowering taxes is miniscule in comparison to lowering the price of gas and fuel. While he was supposedly allowing the American worker to keep $1,000 the gummit was wanting to waste, that same worker was paying over $5,000 in gas and electricity to make his life work. You can double that amount when you add in the things that he had to buy which was artificially high due to the doubling of gas and diesel which has gone from under $2/gal to nearly $4 as planned by Obozo. The installation of this pipeline which could easily be built within 2 years would bring those prices down to that $2 level and return around $10,000 or $400 per paycheck to the average American worker. This is why this discussion needs to be made and why this is the real victory in this bill as that flag needs to be waved.

The third part of this discussion needs to be the amount of disposable income that this pipeline will provide making for the ability for the average worker and business to purchase new goods and services employing more people. You can look at any graph of the past economic cycles and you will see a nearly one to one correlation between the price of oil and the GDP as well as employment. When you have low priced and available energy supplies you have a healthy economy which is willing to expand and hire people as well as buying more goodies for the household including new cars that actually carry more than one sack of groceries. This pipeline can be the provider of all of those things as well as a boomlet in Houston from a new and lower priced raw material to process in the only refinery in America to refine that oil.

Now we know that John Bonehead and Ol Mitch McDonald can’t articulate these simple ideas but some of our candidates and especially Newt can and need to. He can take that pipeline and shout it from the mountaintops while wrapping it around NoOilbama’s neck. That should be his bling for the next 60 days as the people realize he is costing them jobs, money and a better lifestyle so he can keep a few 1%ers in Frisco happy drinking their Chateau St Michele 1988 on their redwood decks overlooking the bay. Meanwhile a guy is paying through the nose to fill his pickup so he can go to work and get his 20 buck giveback he already earned, from Mr Ohbummer. Now even Bonehead and McDonald should be able to figure out what is going to happen if this is made the number one issue over the next 2 to 10 months. Even the soccer moms will get this argument every time they fill the van.

Rather than listening to all of the computer driven experts in DC it is time to think with your gut and go back to basics. The reason we had a deep recession under Carter is by having the oil turned off from Anti-American Iranians and the reason we are having one now is having the oil turned off from the radical Anti-Americans in the Middle East and the EPA. The reason Reagan won is he explained that to the American people and made it real clear he was going to develop every energy resource we had available. The way to beat the Democrats like a rented mule is to strap the Keystone around their spindly necks and turn it into their Millstone. They are the ones standing in the way of $2/gal gas and it is time for America to choose which way they want to go, Keystones or Millstones.

Merry Christmas

Note: The above opinion is not necessarily mine, but FReeper Bray’s. If you wish to discuss this, please ping Bray.

Keystone certainly is the bigger issue. Leadership bungled it no doubt, but it was a confusing issue because the so-called tax cut does nothing but do further damage to our own SocSecurity "lock box." There are/were conflicting issues/benefits to the 2 month tax break.

Not so with Keystone. Let's bury them with it. ...and all the bungling will be forgotten.

Bray’s essay is spot on once again. It’s fair to say that the moment the Keystone pipeline is approved, oil futures will take a precipitous drop. One would hope that the chief benefactor would not be Obama. If gasoline goes back to the low $2 range by the election, he of course, would take the credit.

Merry CHRISTmas!

Huckabee is the only one who may have gonads enough to bring up the Rove-induced, Virginia RINO scam. Other than that, the guests will take the eye off the ball...2012 predictions are about as good as hurricane predictions.

Merry Christmas! No matter what, there is a way to point out how great this country is w/out focusing on the glitz and glamour that is so in vogue for pastors to pound on these days. W/out the US, there would be no funding for missionaries...I think most pastors who fall into the social justice = biblical justice trap so frequently forget that. Sorry to change gears midstream, but I’ve had 2 good cups of yuppie, US coffee already! :)

FOX News is continuing its 24-7
commercial for MITT the magical, but ineligible, RINO.

Gov. Huckabee, who works for FOX News, gave the Official
FOX line. He did NOT mention Mr. Gingrich until
the absence of his name
was mentioned by FOX’s feral RomneyPIMP Wallace.

At that point, upon hearing the Speaker’s name,
FOX’s Huckabee’s face grimaced.

Huckabee and Wallace went on to imagine that only
Romney will be the winner of the upcoming cauci and
primaries. Their faces lit up with excitement.

And so it is clear WHY Huckabee works for FOX News,
and probably why FOX News “selected” him
to give the FOX News Opinion.

Typical Faux News from Biased FOX.

Our fearless leaders were dumb enough to put a clause in the pipeline /SS destruction bill/legislation that if the pipeline is not in the national interest it does not have to be passed .Guess what the enviromarxists lead by the Joker will claim/

If nothing else it will be delayed by countless lawsuits until the Dear Leader is thrown out of office.

crude from the Canadian oil sands using the Keystone pipeline has a five year potential of some 1.8 million barrels per day. Add to that another 1.2 from Anwar and we could get a near immediate, within five years production of 3 million barrels per day. This doesn't include increases in the Baaken field, the Gulf or anywhere else.

It's up to us to inform those few American people left that we the John Galts of the world will rise to the occasion if not stopped by the Wesley Mooches.

Well good morning AB. I am so surprised to find this thread alive and well this Christmas morn. A great big thank you for doing this thread AB...as always and even on Christmas.

Sang at the “midnight” mass last night, which is at 10 pm in these parts. Husband went, the only time he goes to church as he’s not Catholic but is a devout Christian. His father financed and served on the board of a church in Indiana, some sort of protestant thing in the round. ;)

Heard husband telling friend on the telephone that he was going to a Catholic mass and do all that standing and kneeling, darn he’s so clever ain’t he?

Daughter, granddaughter and that man daughter lives with coming over later, having meal here, they’re spending the night. So this morning I am able to join in the conversation coincidentally.

Finally, Merry Christmas to you AB, and all Freepers. Even Obama hasn’t yet made Christmas illegal although I hear he has plans to tax it heavily for millionaires, billionaires and corporate jet owners. Who would be all of us as there are certain vehicles that will count as corporate jets, including Jeeps.

;)

House Members say proposed tar sands pipeline will undermine clean energy future
http://switchboard.nrdc.org/blogs/sclefkowitz/house_members_say_proposed_tar_1.html
(June 23, 2010)
Today, 50 Members of Congress raised their voices against the unnecessary risks of tar sands oil expansion into the United States. Led by Jay Inslee (D-WA), Peter Welch (D-VT), and Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), the list also includes Committee Chairs George Miller (Education and Labor), Barney Frank (Financial Services), Zoe Lofgren (Standards of Official Conduct), Bob Filner (Veterans’ Affairs), and Carolyn Maloney (Joint Economic Committee).

The Members are speaking out against the proposed Keystone XL tar sands pipeline that would bring this oil from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico. In a letter to Secretary Clinton, the Members warned that “building this pipeline has the potential to undermine America’s clean energy future and international leadership on climate change.”

RomneyPIMP and Surrogate Chris Wallace
goes at archbishop of Washington Cardinal Donald Wuerl about ... Mr. Gingrich.

Wallace insults Mr. Gingrich and his wife
by claiming he made three (3) mistakes in marriages,
and asks the archbishop to put him down. [Declined].

Mention of the attacked Christians in Iraq? No.

Mention of the burned churches on Christmas eve
in Africa? No.

Mention of real issues other than Romney propaganda
to continue attacks on GOP candidates using surrogates
LIKE FOX News and Wallace? No.

Biased FOX has no shame.
and no news.
