George Will likes Obama's 2012 reelection chances (Video)
The Daily Caller ^ | December 25, 2011 | Jeff Poor

Despite the steady stream of negative economic numbers, conservative Washington Post columnist George Will thinks that President Barack Obama‘s election prospects aren’t so dire.

“All of the numbers say that the president won’t be,” Will said of the President Obama’s election prospects on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday. “But if the president carries the John Kerry states, he has 245 electoral votes. He needs 25 more. Don’t count the president out.”

ABC political analyst Cokie Roberts went further, saying that she thinks the odds are in favor of the president’s reelection.

We heard at this time in 2007 that the GOP was a lock to keep the Presidency. Then McCain happened. Operation Chaos happened. Lehman Brothers happened. And the Marxist radical everyone had written off ran away with the election. Will is just speaking the truth - no matter how bad the economy is next year, Obama will be the guy handing out free government money and the Republican nominee won’t be.

Will didn’t say he wants Obama re-elected. He said he’s afraid he will be. So am I. Obama is the worst president in my lifetime, and the need to field good conservative presidential candidates has never been greater. The GOP has responded to the nation’s need by coming up small.

But damn if doomsday people here loose their sh•t everyone these people open their mouth.

And those of you that are just acting like defeatist drama queens, you are WORSE. At least Will gets a check for his bulls•it whining.

If George Will is working on a Christmas Sunday then I have to rethink what sort of person he is. Until now I thought he was a believing Christian.

George Will is an establishment jerk.

But as long as no one questions Obama or his Administration, he probably will be elected. Seriously, no one questioned the payroll tax deduction (except Republicans who eventually capitulated). They had it right but never questioned the motive effectively.

From Zero Hedge:

Congress/Administration Allows Taxpayers To Keep 2% More Of Their Paycheck For 2 Months – Requires Almost 1 Billion Mortgage Refis and Purchases To Fund

We don’t need more people whining.

Far too Manny people on our side are intellectually and physically lazy.

They want “numbers” to tell them that all they have to do is park their butt and let the win roll right on in.

Get a few bumps, and its all time to mope because the big bad establishment is all against me meme gets tossed.

This bipolar garbage is not going to be helpful. Even more so when no vote has actually taken place!

We have the ability to stop Romney and Obama. Either some of us just slog off because it actually involves effort or you rise to the challenge because it takes effort.

George Will is a has-been never-was. He should stick to his baseball books; another subject he knows nothing about.

So he “moderates” his message. It’s that simple

He isn't "moderating" his message. He's just despairing of the GOP's ability to mount an effective campaign. A sentiment I share -- and I ain't no moderate.

To: Rufus2007 Given the unappealing GOP candidates and the overall stupidity to the Republican Party, I fear Will (whom I loathe) may be right.

Unfortunately, I have to agree. We did not think Clinton could get re-elected, but he did, even though I know Obama is different than Clinton, he could still make it. I surely hope not, but never underestimate the stupidity of the American people.

Don’t count the president out.

I think what George meant to say was, "Don't count the Media out." They will try to hide the slobber, but the love affair continues.

[IF they nominate Romney I guarantee you Obama will be president.]

I don’t think they understand that the conservative base is tired of having Dole/McCain/Romney limp RINOs shoved down our throats. There will be retribution.

We don’t need more people whining.

I wasn't whining and I don't appreciate the insinuation. I'm saying that if the GOP isn't willing to put forth and support conservative candidates, it's time for a third party that will.

Far too Manny people on our side are intellectually and physically lazy.

And far too many people on our side are determined to vote for whoever the GOP puts up there, whether they're conservative or not. The point of this exercise isn't to work for the greater glory of the Republican Party. The point is to get an actual conservative into the White House.

It's important to remember that we're also running against the media too.

At least 40 years ago, Walter Cronkite tried to hide his bias. Today they make no attempt. And, virtually every so-called “conservative” voice on MSM (Will, Scarborough, Noonan, Brooks and 90 percent of the FNC crew) are “faux conservatives” who will parrot whatever whomever is signing their paychecks wants them to say.

There’ s a reason why George Will has been tolerated by the MSM, and why he has tolerated the MSM for decades. He is one of them.

Reading your post again, it’s not often I see this much passive-aggressive BS. Stick to the issues and save the veiled accusations of whininess, laziness and “bipolar garbage” for someone interested in your attitude.

How the hell can this fraudulent bastardo even run with all his hidden and unknown history? If he can’t be stopped for failure to submit then we are done. And what about all the treasonous and unconstitutional acts he’s committed? “Lord help us”!

Will, Coulter, Christie, Krauty, Hume, NRO, VAGOP, and the rest of the establishment's braniac stooges will ALL soon enough be shut up or rendered irrelevant if we put forth a CONSERVATIVE GRASSROOTS/TP Republican ticket of Gingrich-Rubio, imho.

Fight on!

Oh, and Merry CHRISTmas!!

The Kerry states? All of these so-called pundits never mention what happened in the 2010 midterms. I guess they must have collective amnesia when it comes to the biggest turnover in Congress since the 1938 midterms.
