>>It’s not a gimmick.<<

It is most certainly a campaign gimmick. Perry as president would have no authority nor power to mandate a part time congress.

Congress holds this power and congress alone. Therefore, Perry's talkin out his keaster on this.

This is the Perry we know down here in Texas. He’z full of it.

Cinci-wife accused me of lying in regards to my posts concerning Perry. She’z not yet pointed out where I lied.

If I were standing next to ya, I'd have a big fat $50 bill to challenge anyone that could prove what I posted was inaccurate.

Perry's a political animal. He’z had his eyes on this prize for years, even though he arrogantly denied his secret ambitions here in Texas.

In fact, at a new conference he said exactly this, “what part of no don't you understand”, in response to a question about THIS very presidential run.

Go check it out.....or you can accept on face value folks calling it a lie.

He is not saying he has the power, he is saying he can help the people who DO have the power to get this done and he will use his political capital to rouse the people to get after their representative and their states to get this done. It CAN be done with a Constitutional amendment and since there will be an amendment for the balanced budget why not take care of both things at the same time.

It's called a bully pulpit and Perry is running on what has made Texas successful.

A part time Congress kills lobbying as we know it and it puts the power more into the hands of the voter. Perry is proposing bold ideas to change Washington. Perry governs Texas and he knows the power Washington holds over the states.

Get over your disappointment of whomever your original candidate was. It's time to pick someone and fight for them. Jeeze at least tell me why Perry can't win and your guy can. This thread jumping Perry bashing has gone on since August. Get over it.

Why does your candidate have a better chance at beating Obama?

I didn’t accuse you of lying, but you were mistaken or biased about every single criticism you made of Perry on that other thread.

I wonder who you like who is so great?

As for the part-time congress idea, it probably won’t happen but it’s a good idea and at least he’s got it out there. I think the people would be very much in favor of it.

It won’t happen with the current congress. We’ll have to elect people who would pledge to support the idea.

It’s not radical... he’s not planning to light the streets by bouncing light from Mars or something.

****** “ It is most certainly a campaign gimmick. Perry as president would have no authority nor power to mandate a part time congress. “ *****

But he does “RECOGNIZE” that we have a Constitution and a Declaration of Independence which clearly means that he would work within those boundaries ... unlike the POS that occasionally resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave

Gov Perry has my Vote in the Primary... you can vote RuPaul or whoever and in the end we will both vote for a can of chicken soup before we will vote for 0bama.

Thanks for playing

TT
