Similar thing happened to me on Christmas morning. A real mob scene.
About a year ago, I was with my family and needed gas. It was about 10pm.
There were a couple (yes, just TWO) guys hanging out outside the gas station I pulled into.
I went to the next station down the block.
Call me what you want, but it’s not worth being PC or whatever you want to call it for me to risk my family.
I don’t watch much TV, especially the national networks, but even so, I can not remember any news giving ANY coverage to the “Flaaash and Staaash Demonstrations” since the Rodney King Riots.
If it weren’t for the Internet one would be forced to conclude that Detroit, Washington DC and Philadelphia, not to mention a good many other cities, are paradises of diversity and tranquility.
You're not allowed to notice things like that. Especially, if you're a police chief, being quoted in a newspaper.
But it was interesting to read between the lines on his statement, no?
It was on Fox, but everyone knows that they don't ever tell the truth. The video was likely faked. /sarc
In the past Mall of America was a Gun Free Zone.
Today???
Another good reason to have it on your list of places NOT to visit.
Fearsome shouts of “Cristo Vive!” and “Gloria!” Our hermanos Latinos do love their amplifiers ...
Scratch “Midnight Basketball” and initiate 4PM Basketball.
“Ok, lets see; scratch Mall of America off my list of places to visit.

WELL, i HAVE NEVER HAD, NOR DO I EVER INTEND TO SHOP IN THE MALL OF AMERICA, WITH OR WITHOUT MY CCW.

Never been there, myself, although I’ve seen it on television. When I go to the mall here, I usually go into J.C. Penney or Sears through the door from the parking lot, and leave the same way, without ever entering the mall-area itself.
Woman’s Face Slashed, Man Beaten and Robbed of Air Jordans

Man beaten was hispanic, perp not identified.
Years ago I entered Sears and exited the same way as you do at Penny's.
The danger with these large malls is walking across their parking lots. I have eliminated that problem, I just don't go there any more.
I’ve never had any problem - combination of living in a place where not much happens and shopping while the youths are at school. I haven’t been to the mall since I needed to get my son’s glasses replaced at Sears (our insurance company’s choice) after he lost a lens on a wilderness survival hike. I would have gone to Penney’s this week, but they didn’t have the skirt I wanted in my size, according to the website.
