Ron Paul, whose crackpot beliefs would be disastrous for the United States and the free world if ever implemented, is a serious contender for the GOP presidential nomination.Who was that other 'crackpot' who said "avoid foreign entanglements."?

Who was that other 'crackpot' who said "avoid foreign entanglements."?They were astute elder statesmen that lived in a world WITHOUT nuclear weapons.

It's not 1789 anymore dumb-ass...
You Paulitards are as clueless as your hero if you think the founding fathers wrote the Constitution as a suicide pact. Washington was a General and if you remember we even had French help in the revolution. You think in the 21st Century he would hole up and hide whilst our enemies drew their plans against us...

Alexander Hamilton wrote the speech, spoken by George Washington, both of whom knew that we were master of subject peoples as codified in the Constitution. We were also about to fight a Quasi-War with France. We were entangled and the speech was counter the Jeffersonian traitors.

Who was that other 'crackpot' who said "avoid foreign entanglements."?You probably are thinking of the one who negotiated bilateral treaties with Spain, France, and England. Nice try but no cigar.
