As the violence in Syria spirals out of control, top officials in President Barack Obama's administration are quietly preparing options for how to assist the Syrian opposition, including gaming out the unlikely option of setting up a no-fly zone in Syria and preparing for another major diplomatic initiative.
Critics on Capitol Hill accuse the Obama administration of being slow to react to the quickening deterioration of the security situation in Syria, where over 5,000 have died, according to the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights. Many lawmakers say the White House is once again "leading from behind," while the Turks, the French, and the Arab League -- which sent an observer mission to Syria this week - take the initiative to pursue more aggressive strategies for pressuring the Assad regime. But U.S. officials said that they are moving cautiously in order to avoid destabilizing Syria further, and to make sure they know as much as possible about the country's complex dynamics before getting more involved.

Something else for Obama to screw up.
And now a word from our concerned “president”.....
“Hand me my putter....”
The idiot in Washinigton wants to go 0-5(?) in establishing anti-western Fundamentalist Regimes in the Middle East.
We should STAY OUT OF IT. NEITHER side is are our friend.
Shouldn’t that be 5-0? I’d say he’s been rather successful at screwing us in the ME.
Soetero’s not finished surrounding Israel with radical enemies.
Time will tell whether they are or not. I am not surprised if they do. Right around election time Assad will fall or be killed is my bet.
Barry also wants to oust Assad because that will seal the fate of the Christians in Syria, including the many thousands who fled Iraq after the Bush-0bama foreign policy resulted in their doom.
Apparently someone’s definition of “secret” is a little different than mine.
Right, 5-0. Every step iin the Middle East he has taken has put another Fundamentist Government of radical maniacs
(worse than the general run of Muslim Maniacs) in power.
Obama is an evil man, a bad President, and a racist fighting against non-existant 19 Century colonialism.
Excellent point. The war against Christians in that part of the world is a very sad, under-reported saga.
Some secret, if I am reading about it here...
Some secret, if I am reading about it here...
Regularly you’re correct. But when the CIC does foreign policy against the normal business someone seemed compelled to leak and expose.
There is no right side in the ME uprisings, but now Obama has shown up which is the worst side in Syria (whichever one he supports).
Obama better be carful they just might find Saddam’s WMD’s.
Isn’t the “Syrian opposition” working for Iran?
Not going to happen unfortunately. This administration has their hands in the entire ME uprisings and that from the get go. It's a huge chess board international leaders are playing on to see who comes out on top of the pile when all is said and done.
Much of this has to do with the push for a one world currency...they have to include the ME nations who aren't exactly willing to give up the power nor lifestyles they've enjoyed....thus it's like pulling deep roots out of the ground. You can bet we have people on the ground helping to stir the pot over there in order to get the people to take down these despots.....
When Mabarak and Gaddafi refused to be part of the Mediterranian Group of Sarkosy's....they were next in line to be booted....leaders either comply or they are outed one way or another.
As for Syria...generally known they are an extension of Iran...so before taking on Irans nuclear ambitions the deal is to weaken Syria first. IMO. It's a race now to see if the Un or the Arab nations end up in control once Assad leaves.
I’d bet everything I have on the Arabs.
Someone has to help out the Muslim Brotherhood. Who better than the Feds using taxpayer money to bring about the global caliphate?
I can’t keep track of who’s zoomin’ who in Arab/Moslem-land.
