As GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum appeared as a guest on Thursday’s Today show on NBC, substitute co-host Savannah Guthrie focused the interview on the former Pennsylvania Senator’s views on abortion and contraception, and whether he would be acceptable to “middle of the road voters.” (Video below)

After her first question dealt with whether Santorum would just be the latest candidate to surge and then fade, the remaining three questions she asked focused on whether his social conservatism would appeal to mainstream voters.

Whats funny is a “journalist” who thinks mainstream morality is “extreme”.

Of course, I haven’t watched NBC in many years.

When it comes to his Pro-Life views and his Faith, I won’t question Santorum. Heck, I wouldn’t even question Mitt Romney for his Faith and moral values.

But when it comes to politics, these guys operate according to the dictates of politics, not morality.

Santorum was on Fox News in 2010 having no problem with a Pro-Abortion candidate being elected senator from Alaska (Lisa Murkowski) saying she would be “vote with the Republicans.”

Back in 2004 Santorum flew all the way to Alaska to support Murkowski over a Pro-Life Republican challenger by twisting arms at the local Pro-Life group to not endorse the Pro-Life candidate over Murkowski.

Who was supporting that Pro-Life candidate opposing Murkowski? Sarah Palin.

Rick’s choice for president in the 1996 Iowa caucuses was Arlen Specter.

Just like Romney’s flips and flops in politics I see some Rick Santorum flips and flops over the years.

Thank God that Santorum and Romney say they are “Pro-Life” but in politics I see a different tune being sung.

The opposite of pro-life is NOT pro-choice.

The opposite of pro-life is pro-death.

Don't let them play word games. You are pro-life or pro-death. Period.

I’m not sold on Santorum.

I was there when the MSM took down Richard Nixon in the 1970’s.

Nixon went after them with the Fairness Doctrine among other not so conservative things he did.

The media attack on Nixon was disgusting, but it didn’t make Nixon a “conservative.”

The victim of media attack card does not inspire me to change my mind.

Santorum’s support of the RINO machine here in Pennsylvania and other RINO’s like Lisa Murkowski does not inspire me to support him.

Santorum has a record of supporting Pro-Abortion Republicans over the years right up to his positive comments about Lisa Murkowski when she took out Pro-Life Republican Joe Miller in the 2010 Senate election.

Because middle of the road voters have been coerced by you media people to think they should kill their own inconvenient children. Allowing inconvenient babies to exist is extreme to you freaks.

If santorum has supported candidates regardless of their abortion views, this will help him with the apolitical vote. He also needs to be supportive of gay PEOPLE, while knocking the gay agenda.
