As I noted here, Dean Obeidallah is making a film about the trumped-up concept of "Islamophobia," and he would really like to interview me for it. So after I wrote this yesterday, we had another exchange, and I thought there might be an opportunity for some honest dialogue. So I asked Obeidallah to answer these questions, and told him I'd be interviewed for his film if he did so:
1. True or false: No comedy show, no matter how clever or winning, is going to eradicate the suspicion that many Americans have of Muslims. This is because Americans are concerned about Islam not because of the work of greasy Islamophobes, but because of Naser Abdo, the would-be second Fort Hood jihad mass murderer; and Khalid Aldawsari, the would-be jihad mass murderer in Lubbock, Texas; and Muhammad Hussain, the would-be jihad bomber in Baltimore; and Mohamed Mohamud, the would-be jihad bomber in Portland; and Faisal Shahzad, the would-be Times Square jihad mass-murderer; and Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, the Arkansas military recruiting station jihad murderer; and Naveed Haq, the jihad mass murderer at the Jewish Community Center in Seattle; and Mohammed Reza Taheri-Azar, the would-be jihad mass murderer in Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Ahmed Ferhani and Mohamed Mamdouh, who hatched a jihad plot to blow up a Manhattan synagogue; and Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the would-be Christmas airplane jihad bomber; and many others like them who have plotted and/or committed mass murder in the name of Islam and motivated by its texts and teachings -- all in the U.S. in the last couple of years.
2. True or false: The fact that there are other Muslims not fighting jihad is just great, but it doesn't mean that the jihad isn't happening. This comedy show simply doesn't address the problem of jihad terrorism

I don’t know if I should watch this “film” or the assorted “movies” about “Islamofascism,” such as the beheading of Danny Pearl and those jets crashing into the WTC.
Die and be consumed by swine, Islamofascists.
Phobias are irrational fears. There is nothing irrational about fearing islam.
Palestinian-American stand-up comedian Dean Obeidallah has appeared on numerous national and international shows, including CNN’s “American Morning” and “Wolf Blitzer’s Reports,” Comedy Central’s “Tough Crowd,” ABC’s “20/20,” Japan’s NHK, and CNN International’s “Inside the Middle East”. Dean Obeidallah was also featured in the DVD bonus material for Michael Moore’s “Fahrenheit 911” in the section entitled, “Arab-American comedians.”
I have to state for the record that the term homophobia is crap, too. Translated literally, homophobia means fear of sameness -- such as terror at seeing two basketballs together. However the phenomenom of men having sex with men is a dangerous sex addiction/perversion. They get higher rates of diseases, suicide, higher percentage of child molestation (covered up by the drive by media. Remember Jesse Dirkhising?); etc.
Neither term is legitimate albeit I don't think men that have sex with men have a book that says slay the infidels where you find them as the... holy Qu'ran does.
I thought the sex was allowed with prepubescent boys and. female domesticated animals, exclusively.
You need to show our concern and compassion for our Islamist brothers. They fear for their safety. It's understandable and has happened to others living here and was handled effectively.
CAIR and other Islamist (political Islam, sharia law advocates) organizations feel threatened. We need to help them but will not likely have to provide for all Muslims just the Islamists (political Islam, sharia law advocates).
The FDR administration devised perhaps the most effective response that provided the maximum protection and well-being for Japanese Americans threatened following Pearl Harbor.
That method was simple relocation. We owe it to the Islamists (political Islam, sharia law advocates) to do no less to protect them. ASAP.
(True some Japanese Americans were interned for being suspected of cooperation with the Imperial Government of Japan. Those Islamists who are also Jihadists can expect the same. It is their choice.)
Well said!
Sorry, but I'd have to take exception to that. I don't fear islam. I despise the satanic cult founded by a murderous paedophile.
Islamophobia as a term/concept was created by jihadists and their protectors to deflect from their mission and to smear those who question them.
The communists did this too be creating the term “McCarthyism” to smear people who were investigating communism subversion and to cover up what the Communists were doing.
Same old, same old. The trick is not to fall for it a second time.
I came across this anti American propaganda on Al Gores Current TV where they had an hour long “islamophobia” documentary. Only an ignorant idiot would be fooled by it though.
They tried to interview Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugged and she evidently tore them to pieces because all they could air was one or two sentences of her interview. I bet the parts they edited out showed her totally rebutting their bogus theme.
Because there's nothing irrational about fearing a death loving military cult that wants me murdered!
