Most states that have voter ID laws also have a provision for issuing a FREE ID to anyone who can prove that they are US citizens and cannot afford to get any other form of ID.

This is a good thing so Voter ID laws help people.

The big issue is,of course, voter fraud and enabling people who want to vote multiple times or illegal aliens who want to vote one or more times under their multiple fake identities.

Ironically, a woman who sued to overturn one of the States recently passed Voter ID laws because she claimed she was being discriminated against had her case thrown out of court when the Judge had her open her purse in court and found that she had multiple ID cards, all issued before the Voter ID law had been enacted.
