We had the daughter & BF in for Christmas for a few days. New Year’s eve was just the wife and myself. We just had a few snacks about 1030 and I went to bed about 1145 since I have to usher at church this month.

I wonder if there was anything he wanted to do that he didn't get to do? As far as I know, revising and republishing his autobiography may have been the only thing. An interesting tidbit from his original book - he worked with several Western state governors at one of their annual confabs to support and energize the construction of the Interstate Highway system. He was amazed at how few Easterners had a clue where their wheat and meat came from.

Quiet here, too.
We have maybe three people in the offices today - me, an IT guy, and the boss.

Hi, Jinxy! Very slow day here. On my project, we're mostly here but there is no work today. We're being paid to surf the net, read and do crossword puzzles. I expect this to change in short order starting tomorrow.

Unbelievable.
Our contract specifies 10 holidays per year; this is one of them. I’ll give our gov’t customer credit for at least a little bit o’ sense.

I hadn't gone through the thread yet but was taking a chance on you still being around, however, rest is more important. :)
Did you get the day off like a lot of folks?

I may be doing the same thing. I have various skills that may make a self employed option real in a few months.
