There could be no greater insult to the US military than to name a fighting vessel after one of the most corrupt, venal, and self-serving individuals ever to sit in the US Congress.

The problem is that Navy SEAL Captain Bailey is appealing to SecNav Ray Mabus, who himself is a corrupt sleazebag.

Pray for America.

You are right about that! I think Capt Bailey had to start somewhere though. See what Veterans in Defense of Liberty and Senator Blunt have been up to regarding Mabus and the naming of ships:

http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2011/12/07/veterans-group-sen-blunt-team-up-to-require-obamas-navy-secretary-to-explain-why-he-named-ships-for-controversial-political-figures/ I have the feeling Senator Blunt won't stop here. I'm hopeful that Capt Bailey, Dr McGill and all Veterans will continue to raise their voices in outrage so that their brothers will not have to serve on a ship named after a corrupt Ex-Marine!
