A seven-year-old Indian girl was murdered in a tribal sacrifice and her liver offered to the gods to improve crop growth, police in the central state of Chhattisgarh said on Sunday.

Human sacrifices occasionally make headlines in deeply religious and superstitious India, and usually occur in poor areas where some people revere practitioners of black magic.

Two suspected child sacrifices were reported in Chhattisgarh in 2010, while in the same year the decapitated body of a factory worker was found in a temple in the eastern state of West Bengal. The victims are often ritually killed by witchdoctors to appease gods, spirits or deities.

Ah post-Christian/Western societies reverting back to their original form. Africa is much further along in the process but it sounds like India may be trying to play catch up here. Of course Europe and America are not that much further behind. Oh well, did any one expect anything different? Certainly not from the liberal secularists.

Human sacrifice and nuclear submarines. India is such a crazy mix of contrasts.

OK, I’ll take back what I said, India has a lot of catching up to do to get anywhere close to the US and Europe when it comes to post-Christian child killing. I cannot but think that the wrath of God is not too far away for this world.

Sacrificing a seven year old to grow more crops? Hopefully not, especially in the nuclear sub possessing nations. On a separate note, as the chart above shows, every nation is guilty of abortion. May God forgive us all for that horror.
