My two “adopted at birth” children (now both grown) have never expressed any interest in knowing who their birth parents were.

My husband is one of 5 adopted children. Out of those 5, only his twin sister (they were adopted together) ever had any desire to find her biological family. she searched for years and finally found them. It's worked out well for her, but my husband still hasn't met any of them.

Excellent!

The two children who live with me and we are adopting know exactly who their birth mother is and are scared to death at the thought that they may ever have to live with her again and whatever it takes, God willing, they never will.

They've been with us 3 and a half years and it looks like it may finally happen some time soon. There will be a vanity with pics when that happens.

Oh, no doubt, I agree with you completely. Maybe I was being touchy (if so, I apologize), I just wanted to be happy about the miracle the women had received. With the election heating up and tempers flying, I guess I was testy. I don’t agree with abortion under any circumstances
(I must qualify that in saying that I don’t believe ectopic “pregnancies” to actually be pregnancies since the embryo is unviable in all but maybe one or two cases known to man, miracles themselves).

The fact that we even have to have this conversation as a society makes me feel we have become lesser than the heathens sacrificing their babies to Moloch. At least they delivered the babies first. We’ve come to a sad, sad, point in human existance. That’s why the story that was the basis for the thread made me so happy. Bringing in the abortion part brought me out of that happy moment, so I didn’t mean to be snappy (I wasn’t trying to be, honest). I apologize.

Not at all....I too was quite touched by this story....and as a delighted auntie by adoption of two of the most wonderful little girls in the world, I am supremely grateful for those women who choose life, and grieve for the loss of unknown wonderfulness of those who weren’t given a chance to live.
