Quick scan of the counties — Romney has won only two counties. Both are river counties, old “rustbelt” type places. Santorum, amazingly, has won the county that includes Burlington, Iowa. Paul is mostly in college town communities, no surprise.

If Bachmann continues to poll low, you would think her support will go to Santorum if they are trying to switch to the winning horse.

OK, just read the Burlington Iowa results more closely. Only 96 people voted. It’s a heavily Democratic county. What this may show, however, is that Santorum can reach traditional blue collar voters — the old Reagan Democrats he built his base on in Pennsylvania.
