VP slot ... except for Cheney ... utterly meaningless.

Hillary will not take a VP position...she has bigger ambitions and more than a few Democrats seeing the coming disaster in November will push her to challenge Obama in the primaries.
Romney will pick US Senator John Thune (R-SD) as VP, provided he gets the nomination.

If Rubio was born in Florida, why is he not a natural born citizen?

Doesnt a VP have to meet the same Natural Born criteria as the P?Yes and Miami-born Marco Rubio meets the criteria of Natural Born Citizen just fine.
It's the made-up birther nonsense he's having trouble with. Fortunately for Rubio, it's made-up birther nonsense.

because his parents weren’t citizens at the time of his birth. obama’s weren’t either, which is why they had to run him against mccain who also has a cloud over his constitutional qualifications.

Ive been swamped by requests for my GOP prediction. Well, considering Reich's stature, it doesn't take many requests to swamp him...

That’s a triple backflip.

It’ll be Romney/Santorum if Rick finishes strong in the early primaries.

If Rubio was born in Florida, why is he not a natural born citizen?Because according to Article II's most usual historical interpretation, in order to be a "Natural Born Citizen," both one's parents have to be citizens at the time of the candidate's birth.
If this interpretation of the Constitution has been incorrect, it is up to the courts to tell us so, or the Congress may amend the Constitution to make it so. It cannot be settled in freeper dialogs.
BTW, Reich is a hardened Democrat Partisan Worker. It just may be that he has been assigned the task of deflecting Obama's issues with eligibility. That is, the Democrat Party's wish to make Obama the precedent for equating "Native Born," with "Natural Born." (In Obama's case he has been unable to definitively prove that he is "Native Born," and of course, cannot possibly demonstrate that both his claimed parents were citizens at the time of his birth.)
The Team Obama PR effort has been in full swing since 2006 and has actually worked quite well for them so far. They have been able to re-direct public attention to the alleged place of birth, rather than the circumstances that govern constitutional eligibility.

I must disagree with your assertion. Based upon my research, Rubio meets the eligibility requirements of the Constitution to be considered eligible for POTUS, and by extension, VP. There is nothing in Constitutional Law which would disqualify him to run for POTUS, or be chosen as a VP running mate. He was born IN the United States. Nothing in Constitutional law nor any legal ruling pertaining to the eligibility clause of the Constitution, requires a person's parents also be natural born (or naturalized) citizens. The only comment regarding his issue relates to whether the parent of said child owes allegiance to another country or another government. Seeing how Rubio’s parents had been living in the U.S. for 19 years prior to Marco Rubio’s birth, I don't see an argument that they owed any allegiance to any other country or government.

In my research I found NO indication of the requirement to which you write.
