The simple answer is that we need a military that’s allowed to kick ass and hit people who screw with us upside the head with a sledgehammer.
Our soldiers are not babysitters, they are not peacekeepers, they are not repairmen, and they certainly aren’t political pawns to be expended so some politician far removed from the battlefield can tell China how humanitarian he is. They are our defenders and should be used only as such.
