Sure, now the librarians are the bad guys. BS The mother should had made sure the books were returned. That library probably called and mailed notices. The mother just IGNORED it.
People take thousands of dollars of property every year from libraries when they don’t return (i.e. steal) library books. Libraries budgets are already practically nonexistant. It isn’t just the price of the book, but also the supplies and time to process it.
So waaa. Next time return the damn books and you won’t get embarrased.
