Notice that they refer to Chris Wilden as a former cop instead of a ccw holder or an armed citizen. He also had the necessay knife to cut the seat belts.
Guns and knives are things the progressive have worked hard to prevent ordinary citizens from having during their daily lives.

I'm glad he managed to save the kids... But it's best to carry a spring loaded center punch. You just press it against the window, and when it trips, the window shatters... without any pesky lead and copper heading downrange to who-knows where.

In before a cop-hater makes reference to cops shooting the dog.
Glad the right man was where he needed to be to save the family.

A lot of freepers will realize that this is a rhetorical question: Why wasn't this national news on all the networks?
Answer: Because it shows an armed citizen using a gun and a knife to rescue innocent children.

Guns and knives are tools.
This hero knew how to use them.

How is it that I watched this story on Fox News and NO MENTION was ever made of his shooting out the windows?
Fox has a nasty note coming from me.
Please feel free to join in!

Quick thinking by the officer. We have two canyon highways leading out of our town and this kind of accident happens every so often. Off the road and into the river is scary.
