Sherrod Brown won't appear with Obama in Ohio
The Hill ^ | 1/3/2012 | Josh Lederman

Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) will be in Ohio on Wednesday when President Obama delivers a speech on the economy at a Cleveland-area high school, but he won't be appearing with the president.

Brown has a series of his own appearances Wednesday, including a visit to the Ohio Farm Bureau and a tour of a specialty-vehicle factory, his congressional office said. Brown will be joined at the factory by Veterans Affairs officials and will tout the creation of 30 jobs through programs to provide mobile care units for veterans.

A source close to Brown's campaign said that the commitments were scheduled before Obama announced his trip, and that Brown would appear with Obama at campaign events later in the year.

But those assurances were unlikely to quell Republican claims that Brown is avoiding appearances with Obama that his GOP opponent, Ohio state Treasurer Josh Mandel, could later use to paint Obama and Brown as overly cozy.

Obama is faring better in Ohio than in many other swing states, but not enough to eliminate any risk of weighing down other Democrats on the ballot. In a Quinnipiac University poll conducted in November, about the same number of Ohio voters approved of Obama as disapproved. The decision of whether to appear alongside the president at campaign events had dogged other Democrats defending difficult seats in the Senate this cycle.

Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) raised eyebrows when she did not appear with Obama during an October visit to Missouri, where his poll numbers are under water. But McCaskill had a more watertight excuse: Joining Obama would have meant leaving Washington while the Senate was in session, and possibly missing important votes.

Expect more of this. Democratic Senators who are up for reelection in swing states (Bob Casey, Bill Nelson) are going to avoid Obama like the plague.

When one of the biggest Libs in the Senate start avoiding Obama, you know they smell something very rotten.

"Obama is faring better in Ohio than in many other swing states"

ONLY because of Union voters, and blacks.

And he will be appearing elsewhere to "tout the creation of 30 jobs through programs to provide mobile care units for veterans."

30! - THIRTY! - COUNT 'EM - Three Zero JOBS - CREATED!

Not through economic growth but through PROGRAMS!

What a Great Guy!

Meanwhile, at a local high school....

Idi Obama will be touting the economy which he has:

brought back from the brink,

no telling how bad it would have been if not for him,

no thanks needed just doing my job which would be a lot easier if not for Congress,

we would all be a lot better off if the Congress would make the rich pay more taxes,

pay no attention to all those zeroes on the national debt clock.

Then off to somewhere else to party and play golf.

Bob Casey was one of the principal players who helped get obama elected. No where for him to hide. It’s all on tape.

Sherrod Brown was the guy who flew back to DC right after his mother’s funeral, remember—whisked away to Washington, for the sake of the ‘country’ and FOR THE 0BAMA DEATHCARE vote.

When BO came to NC last month, local pols avoided him like the plague. He was introduced at one function by someone like the 3rd assistant principal of the HS where he was speaking.

Of course, it didn't help that he was riding in his million-dollar, Canadian-made Tour Bus, and the primary speechifying highlight of his trip was - literally - right across the street from a plant where they make.....you guessed it.....Tour busses. I'm sure that little tone deaf bit wasn't lost on all of the local employees.

There are several running. A list of them is on this page: here

I doubt that all of them will collect enough signatures to get on the ballot, however.
