BELLE GLADE, Fla. - The Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office says three masked men came into the Osvilda Jewelry store in Belle Glade at 116 SW Avenue B and robbed the store.

One robber held the clerk at gunpoint and attempted to shoot, but the gun didn't fire, deputies said.

That's when investigators say the clerk grabbed a gun and started shooting back at the robbers.

The masked men were able to escape in a stolen getaway van, which was later recovered by deputies a few blocks away on 100 Block NW Avenue C.

From there, deputies say the suspects hopped into a black pickup truck and drove away.

Nobody inside the jewelry store sustained any injuries and it is not clear at this time what was stolen.

Investigators have not said if this armed robbery was related to the attempted armed robbery at Alabama Georgia Grocery Store Monday morning.

In that attempted armed robbery, store owner Jimmy McMillan was killed by the robber who is still on the loose.

For those unfamiliar with Belle Glade, it makes NOLA look like the Vanilla City in comparison. It is located in the cane fields, but the labor was largely repalced with mechanical cane harvesters due to too many lawsuits by Do-Good lawyers.

According to the command level people I know in the Florida sugar industry, the cane cutters were replaced by machines because the management decided to avoid any further litigation by getting rid of the cane cutters.

Ironically, cane now has to be replaces every three years rather than five years because the machines damage the roots more than a human foot. But, hte overall costs and the freedom from lawyers was worth it, according to my sources.

Belle glade was left a hollow shell as the place evolved to serve the Jamaican cutters who were the seasonal labor force back when labor harvested the cane. Liberalism once again destroyed those it claimed to help.

End result: Lots of Ferals stalking the streets of Belle Glade.

PS A LEO in a small town (which for obvious reasons will remain unnamed), located near Lake Okeechobee, used to have a small, female, Pit Bull dog he carried with him under a long coat (think trench coat). Once, he let his pet loose during an arrest and the result was “...three men up a one man tree”.

PPS Belle Glade needs more guns, and more pit bulls. And hold that order of lawyers, please.

Interesting back story, thanks.

I if ya do the deep historical research, ya generally always find that the dirt poor downwardly mobile are that way because the socialist rats screwed 'em while lining their own pockets.

Economic forensics.

In their narcissistic quest to show the world how brilliant they are - liberals destroy the very fabric that allows them to prosper... idiots.
