Obama's Cordray Appointment Mocks the Constitution (IMPEACH OBAMA!)
Fox News ^ | 1/4/2012 | Phil Kerpen

Posted on 01/04/2012 2:58:15 PM PST by tobyhill

In 2008 candidate Sen. Barack Obama famously said: “This is part of the whole theory of George Bush that he can make laws as he is going along. I disagree with that. I taught the Constitution for 10 years. I believe in the Constitution and I will obey the Constitution of the United States. We are not going to use signing statements as a way of doing and end run around Congress.”

Now, we find that not only was he kidding about signing statements – he recently used one to ignore about 20 provisions of the omnibus spending bill – but Obama also believes he can decide for himself that the Senate is in recess when it is not, overturn at least a hundred years of precedent, and bypass the Constitution’s advice and consent requirement.

He continues to get away with doing whatever he wants regardless of the Constitution or laws of the land and he will keep doing it because no one in Congress seems to care.

I suppose we will have to ait and see what Mitch McConnell and Boehner have to say about that, but all I hear so far is silence, and I have no doubt we will hear a lot of it—sience that is.

Wouldn't it be great to know what he taught? Odd how we've not heard from one student. This is a guy who complained the Constitution addressed what the government could not do, but didn't "say what the federal government or state government must do on your behalf."

Not much of a believer when the powers are specific and enumerated, yet he still has a problem with it.

This should go to the Courts.
He has deliberately violated Constitutional law.
This is an excellent chance for the Repubs to put this thug in the limelight of exposure where he belongs.

The dictatorship is slowly coming to fruition. And as with Hitler, the legislative body will do nothing.

Hank Williams, Jr. was right.

This was deliberately planned to be announced today when all the news channels would be focusing on Iowa results.

".....he will keep doing it because no one in Congress seems to care."

It's not that they don't care. They care for their own skins.

The bulk of the legislation passed by Congress for the last60 - 80 years is "extra-Constitutional." On top of that, the Congressmen themselves are at the mercy of the Federal Bureaucracy which is their Frankenstein creation and holds them in dread and fear.

Some Congressmen hate it, some love it. All will serve the beast.

The Usurper has the favor of this beast because he feeds it with more power and more funding.

The only reason Barack Hussein Obama ever studied the Constitution, was because he was looking for loopholes.

Apparently he has found quite a few, and where one could not be conclusively demonstrated, he has decided to rely much more on gaining forgiveness, than he is likely to seek permission.

If this were a Republican president, every Democrat in Congress would be in front of the cameras screaming. With the Republicans we get crickets.

I am sure boner will schedule a golf game at some wonderful warm resort so he can talk about it. But that is about it, time we started demanding Backmann becomes the speaker.

Even crickets make some noise.

Well: Maybe the Republicans are just trying to get their ducks in a row.

Bwaahahhahaha why do I doubt that.

It is amazing to see the kinds of statements that turn up on the Chimpanzee race hustler's Teleprompter these days. Next thing you know, it will be telling him to call himself a patriot, or even a Real American!!!!!!

All those who still entertain the notion that we are going to have a legitimate election and civilized turnover of political power following the 2012 election are asleep at the switch. This year is going to test those who call themselves patriots, because things are going to ratchet up mighty fast from here on out. The lines are drawn. The SOBs know it is do or die this time around.

He taught the Constitution for 10 years, but after it became obvious that the Constitution wasn’t learning anything, he gave up on it.
