“Recall” is a misleading term. They have service calls — you take the car to the shop, usually during a regular service, and while there they perform the “recall”.

And yes, there have been several. None serious enough to require immediate attention, in my mind. The most publicized was the one where the gas pedal mechanism could get sticky, which they fixed by adding a washer to one of the pin joints.

The 1st generation prius had a couple of recalls on their power steering, which was a novel electric-motor device that apparently wasn’t entirely thought through.

Yes. Democrats are true fascists, but you’ll never convince them or even the public at large. Obama’s entire platform is pure fascist economics. The whole right/left mantra has been drilled into the dummies and they’ll never figure it out.

The Public Utilities Commission here is switching from Chevys to Fords. Fiestas I think.

Wait until the new Fusion is unveiled next week. Just my guess, but IMHO it will make the Volt look like moldy cold cuts...

The political comparisons will then begin of GM / Gov't vs. Ford / Free-market.

IMHO that will get ugly...

Folks,

In the next week or so at the NAIAS, the 2013 Fusion is supposed to have it's debut.

What we know from the web.

* It will use the very good handling "Ford Mondeo" Chassis ( possibly new or upgraded )
* It will be 4 or 5 star crash Mulally will demand it.
* It will get 10 to 20% better fuel economy, (again Mulally demands ) the green car blogs are rumoring 48 mpg in the city for the Hybrid.
* It will have a good looking skin ergo the "EVOS" Show-car

>

Here is the EVOS of which it will get it's DNA

IMHO this Fusion will make the Volt about as appealing as Rosanne Barr...

I have seen exactly one Re-Volt on the road, and I’m in So. Cal where we have a few cars.

I have seen exactly one in metro DC...surprising since it is the belly of the beast.
