I was in the Air Force from 92-96. I lived in Japan for 10 years working as a computer programmer. When I left Japan I was the chief designer in a small Japanese corporation. In 2004 I joined the Army to help our war effort in Iraq. I took a 70% pay cut and a much greater cut in respect and authority.

I occassionally regret my decision because it has been very difficult on my wife and 2 children. Their lives went from luxury to poverty in a matter of months. In addition, I have spent over 2 years away from them between training and Iraq.

I don't seek sympathy for my self induced plight, but it irks me to the extreme that so few are willing to sacrifice for their country. The army should be innundated with recruits. Instead, the Army lowered its standard to "meet its goals". When I walk around downtown and see hundreds of able bodied men just going about their business oblivious or apathetic to the war, I am enfuriated.

I abhor the Democrat leadership. The average Democrat is a dupe and fool who deserves whatever comes his way, but the leadership is traitorous and villainous.
