“Why doesn’t Ron Paul go after Mitt?”

Why would he? As recently as a week ago I used to think that Ron Paul was a shoe-in to run as a third party candidate. I don’t think so anymore; I think he’s looking to deal.

So who is the most logical candidate to cut a deal with? Answer that question and you have your answer.

The Paulestinians should find their own homeland.

BTW, notice who Paul quotes here- the ultra leftist CREW. He might as well team up with Barney Frank and George Soros to work on a military policy.

Oh wait, he did.

“Kiss Romney’s ring, it’s over.”

I don’t think so. I think Ron Paul is willing to cut a deal. It’s just that none of the other candidates seem to be interested. Very bad move on their part.

(Full disclosure: I’m a Ron Paul supporter. Not a particularly fervent one, but a supporter nonetheless)

Paul is a mean, jerk who has no chance in hell of winning and if he did, G— help us all.

If Romney gets the nomination, he’d probably beat Obama but would not substantially change DC (he is too centrist) and only slow down the country’s decline.

If Santorum gets the nomination, he’d probably beat Obama and would make substantial change and substantially slow down the decline, possibly reverse it overtime. Santorum doesn’t care what people think if it goes to his core principles.

I don’t think Gingrich could beat Obama. Too many of my conservative friends say they simply couldn’t vote for him with all the personal baggage and hypocrisy. Plus, even if he won I think he is too worried about his place in “history” and would be too accomadative to the media.

“Why doesn’t Ron Paul go after Mitt?”

That's actually funny. Several of the Ron Paul websites are wondering why they don't go after each other and are speculating they may be partnering, possibly to have Paul on Mitt's ticket or cabinet, or even Rand as a VP nominee.

As a quick search (posted on the other thread) reflects, this Paul ad is quoting Malanie Sloan. This should be a huge red flag to any Paul supporter, IMO.

Ron Paul needs to be put on Meds and monitored closely. Very unstable.

Wrong Paul is a kook racist and nothing that he or anyone else has to say will changed my mind from voting for Santorum....If of course he is still in the race when Washington State votes.

Its the guy making Paul’s ads thats trying to help Romney, or rather he’s trying to help the establishment’s candidate because he wants to be a player in republican politics after the primaries are over. I read about this guy, but I forget what his name is.

This is what Sarah Palin was alluding to when she said the Republicans had better be willing to listen to Paul and his supporters, and accomodate them in some ways. She seems to already know they will be shopping around...

I guess the solution is...money. I was a Bachmann supporter. Now whatever I can scrape up will go to Santorum.

Rand Paul as Mitt’s VP would ensure three things;

1. Many conservative TEA Party types that LOATHE Romney (myself included) would support that ticket.

2. Wrong Paul would not run independantly.

3. Wrong Pauls’ kook, fringe supporters would probably vote almost en masse for that ticket rather than stay home and get stoned.

I don't see a lot of real content in the ad—just a bunch of name calling and vague accusations. I think Santorum needs some fine tuning in his fiscal conservative ideology, but he is a better candidate for conservatives, both fiscal and social, than Romney or Paul. I also think Santorum had to side with unions and do some other things to be a viable candidate in his state, which is very union. He also followed what the GOP leaders wanted him to do back when those leaders were even more RINO than they are now. From what I can see, he is the best remaining candidate (Perry would be 2nd).
