Ron Paul's campaign is out with this new ad in South Carolina, which hits Rick Santorum on his "record of betrayal."

"One serial hypocrite exposed," the ad says, showing clips of Newt Gingrich. "Now another has emerged: Rick Santorum, a corporate lobbyist and Washington politician. A record of betrayal."

I just heard Mark Levin saying that if Romney wins, it will be because of the VICIOUS ads Ron Paul ran on Gingrich in Iowa taking him down and now on Santorum and Gingrich moving forward.

Ron Paul needs to go after Mitt Romney, who has far more bad positions than Rick Santorum does.

Ron Paul has zero chance of being president. Zero. All he is doing is taking people down, destroying one candidate after another and for what end? He’s a spoiler, a wrecking ball. Now he’s determined to finish off Santorum. I think he is one sick, deluded, megalomaniac. What imbeciles are voting for him and sending him money?

Exactly but Ron Paul has no desire to help conservatives.

I’m a SC resident and I propose a new way of voting. You vote against the ones you don’t like. The one with the least votes is the winner being the least worse. That’s the way it’s going, I’m voting basically against people not FOR them. I used to vote for people, now I vote against them.

“I just heard Mark Levin saying that if Romney wins, it will be because of the VICIOUS ads Ron Paul ran on Gingrich in Iowa taking him down and now on Santorum and Gingrich moving forward.”

Huh? So if Romney wins the Republican nomination it will be because Paul ran ads against Gingrich, who called Paul “dangerous” and said he would not even support Paul against Obama - and against Santorum who called Paul “disgusting”. Okaaay.

The problem is Ron Paul is not trying to win over Romney's pool of voters. Mitt has the support of the establishment, the mushy moderates, the risk averse, etc. Paul will never win those voters over. Paul is going for the non-Romney voters just like Santorum is - and Paul actually has a lot of money and can do real damage to the actual conservative opposition to Romney that would otherwise have a shot at the nomination. We know Paul will not be the nominee, and at this point all he is accomplishing in the race is tearing down any serious opposition to Romney.

Ron Paul has always been a crazy troublemaker, but he seems to be behaving ten times as bad as usual this time around.

Paul is a lunatic, but not a moron. I think that he is actively trying to help Romney. Paul KNOWS he can’t win the nomination.
