Baier: And now some fresh pickings from the political grapevine. A state judge in Georgia has denied a motion by the Obama Administration to dismiss a complaint challenging the president's eligibility to be on the ballot there. Attorney Orly Taitz filed the complaint back in November on behalf of a Georgia resident contending Obama is not a natural born citizen and therefore should not be on the March presidential primary in Georgia. You'll remember last year the White House released the president's long form birth certificate, however Taitz, along with many others in the so-called "birther" movement, is still not satisfied. Some in that movement call it a fake. Others say the real issue is that he's not a natural born citizen. A hearing has now been set for January 26th. The president's lawyer in Atlanta says he's optimistic the judge will decide in the president's favor.
Fox appears to be signalling that this is real news and that they will cover the hearing. Baier did not mention the other numerous plantiffs nor their separate hearings that were all granted, but this is progress. Afterall, it isn't "news" if no one covers it!

Actually rather fair and balanced. Baier doesn’t say he thinks the plaintiffs will win, but at least he calls it the “so-called ‘birther’ movement,” and more important, he mentions it in a news program.
Fox News has been as bad as the liberal networks on this issue, so it really is pretty remarkable.
I about fell out of the chair when that story came on. I knew better than to hope the panel would cover it. I can just imagine Krauthammer’s take...

Yeah! I know about that. I had to research SSN’s back when I was doing background investigations and each state had their own three digit number as the first digits of the SSN. That was a method of checking the residences of the applicant.

Hey, Bret, all his purported birth certificate did was confirm that his Daddy wasn't even a US Citizen which further proves that he isn't a natural born citizen, one born of citizen parents.
The FAUX people still calls it the “so-called ‘birther’ movement” which it has never been. It’s the Constitution “movement” which the idiots over there took an oath to uphold and defend, which they never done and are enablers to the biggest political scandal in our nations’s history. They should be hold accountable, including Mr. Limbo and other faked conservative media hosts!!!
Baier reported this as a journalist should which is to lay out the issues in a nonjudgmental fashion. This is actually a first, in the case of Fox News, IIRC.
Fox has never once previously allowed even a suggestion that Obama’s BC might be a fake! Corsi was mocked on Fox when his BC book came out.
IMO, Baier’s report is a fantastic development. The Democrats could have substituted Hillary if Obama were successfully exposed in 2011, but now it is too late for another candidate to be substituted and win...especially if it takes at least two or three months to unseat Obama after court ordered discovery forces him to resign and take a pardon from President Biden!
