I will say, on the last point, that is probably incorrect.
The fact is that the US has a broader definition than most countries as to when to count infant mortality, so it results in a higher rate of infant mortality noted and has an effect on the stats of life expectancy.
Forgot this in my previous post. Yes, the US has a much broader definition for both life expectancy and infant mortality. If the US counted people the way other countries did, the US would be number one in both categories by a wide margin.
Our infant mortality rate would be even worse if they factored in abortion.
