Days after Iranian leaders warned the U.S. to keeps aircraft carriers out of the Persian Gulf, a U.S. Navy ship that had just finished operations in the Gulf rescued an Iranian fishing boat that had been commandeered by suspected Somali pirates.

Somebody on that ship wearing stupid for a hat? I wouldn’t trust the suckers one minute near a ship. What were they thinking. Those Iranians would sacrifice their lives in a moment to get near a ship and blow it up. The boatlaod of criminal boated right up to the USS Cole and blew themselves up.

That’s cool...as long as they brought the “pirates” to ambient temperature.
Like Glenn Beck says, “America is Great because America is Good”. We don't stop being good just because citizens in distress from a country not on good terms with America are crying out for help.
How ironic is this. The USS KIDD (DDG 993) was originally built for the Shah of Iran and was not delivered when the Ayatollah took over. The KIDD Class DDGs are referred to as the “Ayatollah” Class.
Just an idea...
Russians are always handing surviving pirates to Iranese coast guard all the time. You can find videos on youtube.
