A joint release by David Codrea and Mike Vanderboegh
Dear Rep. Issa and Sen. Grassley,
Congratulations on the exceptional leadership you both have shown in advancing congressional investigations on the Fast and Furious gunwalking criminal enterprise. The two of you have taken things a long way since we first felt compelled to write an open letter requesting attention and action nearly a year ago.
We once more feel a need to correspond openly because we realize our voices are small compared to the many larger ones demanding your attention, and because it is in the publics interest to be aware of the points we wish to call your attention to.
As you know, there have been some reassignments of ATF officials tied to your investigation, as first reported on January 4 by Gun Rights Examiner and Sipsey Street Irregulars. Speculation backed by informed opinion regards this as a tactical preparatory maneuver prior to the release of the long-awaited Office of Inspector General report on Fast and Furious, as well as the upcoming return of Attorney General Holder to testify before your committee. We believe that the personnel moves were made as a result of a draft of the OIG report.
We understand government audit procedures REQUIRE the auditor to present a draft report to the agency for its comments before finalizing the report. This is why DRAFT reports are sensitive--they can and often do change in response to agency comments/reactions, and DRAFT reports are not OFFICIAL/final reports.
Still, in light of this weeks developments, it seems a fair question to determine, if DOJ and ATF are in possession of a draft copy of the report, and if there have been any leaks.
Next, we would remind you that in Rep. Issas September 20, 2011 telephone conference with bloggers,

Gunwalker ping.
Good Saturday ping.
Never soon enough, imho.
Not unless the Republicans grow some stones and hire a special prosecutor. Until then we will have to wait until...
Doubtful.
Do you remember all of the crimes the Clinton cartel got away with?
Be sure to put the bast..d under oath this time. When his lies catch up with him, at least they will have something to put him in prison for if not the “F&F” crimes.
Am I missing something?
Has he not been under oath?
Why not??!!
The Current FReepathon Pays For The Current Quarters Expenses?
It’s simply not a scandal if the MSM refuses to report it.
If a bear craps in the wood, and the MSM doesn’t report it, does it still stink?
The last time MyPeopleHolder testified ( maybe it was the time before ? ), he didnt have to be sworn in because the head dude said it was thought that he was STILL under oath from the previous time so they didnt swear him in.
I’m paraphrasing here but that was the jist of it.
Someone will correct me if I’m grossly wrong.
Wow. If we had only tossed out a few more RINO’s in the last election, we could’ve been writing these letters to Max Baucus or Henry Waxman.
I believe you are correct, he was “deemed” to still be under oath. Of course that opened a 4-lane highway defense for him. I can’t help but believe it was a purposeful act by the committee and may have been designed to get him to speak more freely. Big mistake in my mind.
The time to toss RINOs is during the primary...
I wonder if any of this will be in the report? Especially the Soros ties to recently fired aide Robinson who doled out billions of vote buying dollars we gave them.

I hope so but at the very least we will see a severe erosion of 0bummer's political capital. Holder's next session before the committee should be interesting and telling.
I think this letter of appreciation was appropriate though. Issa and Grassley have been dogged, they haven't been partisan or self-serving and they haven't tried to sugarcoat their public statements. The rest of the Pubbies may wimp out but these two have been doing their duty.
