Oh, there’s a surprise. I saw this earlier today, on twitter I think, and almost posted it. My question is what are Republican member’s of Congress going to do about it? And I haven’t heard nearly enough emphasis in the debates from any candidates on this issue—in part because the moderators, in the tank for the regime, are steering very clear of this losing issue for their man and instead focusing on social wedge issues. I like what Ron Paul (thought I’d never say those words, btw) did last night: he asked his own questions and then answered them when he became frustrated with their tactics.
You are right! It has been several debates since obamacare was mentioned---at least 4 I think.

LOL! Funny you should mention that because, in the post-debate discussion on MSNBC this morning, I found myself agreeing with "I'm such a mad-hatter outta-control socialist, I'm surprised I'm on TV" Lawrence O'Donnell who said that moderators have no control over the debate:
Chris Matthews: What did you make of the topic selection last night?"
O'Donnell: "This is a big mistake. It has nothing to do with the moderators. If you have been in campaigns, and you see how candidates are coached going into a debate, it never has anything to do with moderators."
"You go in there to fight, or you don't. It's like saying the boxers were waiting for the referee to let them fight. It doesn't work that way."
Matthews: I meant...do you think the focus on birth-control and abortion was overdone?"
O'Donnell: "I'm telling you I don't care what the question is. If they ask them a question about foreign policy, and he wants to talk about abortion, he will. He'll give you one sentence on your Iran question, and then...[he will talk about abortion.]"
Matthews: "I know; that's how we are trained to do it."

I've been whining about the venue and the moderators---what's the matter with these candidates that they allow themselves to be so trapped. BUT, I have to agree with O'Donnell, and Newt is the only man we have who can control the debate---BOTH with the moderators AND the other candidates.
