WASHINGTON— When Michelle Obama worked in Mayor Daley’s City Hall in the early 1990s, she was “distressed” by how a small group of “white Irish Catholic” families — the Daleys, the Hynes and the Madigans — “locked up” power in Illinois.
And as she prepared to become first lady, Mrs. Obama naively wanted to delay a move into the White House for six months, so her daughters could finish the school year. Her initial thought was to “commute” to the White House from her South Side home.
And Marty Nesbitt, one of President Obama’s best friends, had been recruited to run for Chicago mayor by African-American leaders — but never ended up challenging Rahm Emanuel, who was Obama’s chief of staff who went on to win City Hall.
Details about Mrs. Obama’s initial reluctance to embrace her new life, her time in City Hall, the influence she has in the White House, tensions between Senior Adviser Valerie Jarrett, Emanuel and former White House press secretary Robert Gibbs — are in a new book about the first couple by New York Times reporter Jodi Kantor.

This is the only time I can recall agreeing with this reigning witch re: the Chicago Irish Mafia families that control the machine that runs the state, pretty much since the 1930’s. I suppose she’d just prefer to have it run by Black Mafia families but that some how wouldn’t be easily pulled off. Oh well, she can dream more nightmares as far as I’m concerned. In the meantime, her husband has elected himself King of Amerikkka and suspended the balance of powers between the three branches of government, so what the he$$ is she bitching about? Oh I forgot, she can’t help herself. Move on, nothing to see here.
p.s. Michelle, don’t forget, when governments (i.e., Chicago, Crook County or Illinois) are pretty much run by single party entities (i.e., democrat) don’t expect power to be shared given there is no way to create a sharing arrangement. They are effectively not two-party systems, but a one-party system, or dictatorship if you will. And they don’t give up power once assumed, you must “take” it from them, usually violently. Do you have the “stones” Michelle to do it? Maybe you do come to think of it given you wear the pants in the family anyway. One last thing, the city of chicago, county of cook and state of illinois are bankrupt and will continue to be going forward given this system they are operating under. They just won’t admit it. And every Illinoisan Republican I know is seeking to escape the state before it totally implodes and are willing to take further whacks to their home sales value to get out. You may come home to a burnt out shell of a state if your hubby is reelected for another four years of destruction to the U.S. Kind of like Detroit on steroids, but hey, you might actually like that.
Now if Illinois were run by a handfull of black scumbag crooks, she’d be cool with that.

Let me guess: Her plan would have Air Force One pick her up in the morning, and fly her back to Chicago in the evening? After all, it's not her money.
I’ve driven through Illinois on the way to Wisconsin. Beautiful state with the best scenery I have ever seen from interstate. Too bad it all belongs to the Chicago machine, evidenced by their New York City style gun laws that apply to all citizens everywhere in the land of Lincoln.
Even that wasn’t so bad when Richard Daley Sr. was mayor and Chi-town was known as `the city that works’. Those days are long gone.
I would assume it would be the first time in her adult life she was proud of her city.
Moochelle and Jarrett run the show and if anyone thinks differently, they have their head up their you know what.
See, you can really tell there that she major, intensive work done on that mouth. She spends a fortune trying to look like whitey that she detests. I don’t get it. No amount of money or surgery is ever going to make her look like a beautiful white woman. Michael Jackson tried it too, before he OD’ed, and he just ended up looking like an alien from some other planet.
She’s so vain and feels such a sense of entitlement. She just needs to suck it up, face the facts, she has a freaky build, she’s ugly and it is what is is.
