Mitt also did not address the most egregious of the prevarications...that Newt was “fined” 300k for “ethics violations.” I noticed he left that one out.

I think Romney mumbled something about $3 grand. He didn’t want to clearly address that slander.

Romney can be taken down, were the moderators like Gregory, willing to permit Newt and Sanotrum to go after him, unlike Faux’s in-the-tank wussies.

That’s actually one Romney statement I’m okay with.

Gingrich was made to pay $300k in a ‘sanction’ by the House. That’s close enough to a ‘fine’ for me. It’s also the term the NYTimes uses for it in a story today.

Kinda like Cain trying to differentiate between a ‘settlement’ and a payment through an ‘agreement’.
