An Aussie daredevil has somehow survived after a cord snap during her bungee jump over the Zambezi River sending her plunging into the crocodile-infested waters.
Erin Langworthy plummeted 111m from the Victoria Falls bridge, on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia, on New Years Eve.
The 22-year-old luckily survived the impact despite blacking out and was forced to swim through rapids populated with crocs with her feet still tied.
It felt like I had been slapped all over, the student told Australia's Channel 9 News.
I landed with my legs tied and then had to swim to the Zimbabwe side [of the river] through the rapids.

It was quite scary because a couple of times the rope actually got caught on some rocks or debris.
I actually had to swim down and yank the bungee cord out of whatever it was caught on to make it to the surface, she added.
When she made it to rocks, her rescuers rolled her on her back.
She said: All the water I inhaled meant I couldn't breathe and I made them roll me on to my side and that's when I started coughing up water and blood.
Southern Province police commissioner Brenda Muntemba told reporters that Ms Worth was treated at Victoria Falls clinic in Zimbabwe before being evacuated to South Africa.
Its definitely a miracle I survived, she smiled

If she inhaled water from a Zimbabwe river she’s gonna need some potent antibiotics!
You’ve seen my bungee jumping picture...
The risk is the reward. Yeah.
She sure doesn’t look 22 years old.
I hate it when that happens.
Stupid is as stupid does.
I wonder if the tied feet was actually to her advantage. Less splashing around may have made her less a target to the crocs.
There are plenty of ways to die, why add to them?
I bet it’s a rush though as long as the cord doesn’t snap.
I’ve seen them on Discovery and I always wonder how well ‘engineered’ the bungie cable is and how well do they calculate for mass?
A pretty girl. That being said she is a mindless twit along with surfers, parachutists, other bungee jumpers and druggies.
Who has the money at 22 to fly to Africa to go bungee jumping? At 22 I was barely eating.
She had 4 seconds of free fall AFTER the cable snapped (actually, it was the junction between the stretchy part and the upper part than separated).
That means she hit the water at 88mph FASTER than she was already going before the cable snapped, assuming no air resistance from herself or the attached cable segment (which actually led her down, hitting the water first).
I used to know the brothers who pretty much invented the cords. If memory serves, they engineered it for 5 times the recommended weight of the jumper. Along with the elastic, they included a safety towing-type strap as a back-up if the stretchy part ever did break.
Their operations never did have an accident, nor did any operation who bought cables from them and properly maintained and inspected the cables.
They did invent the sling-shot style bungee ride.
They got out of the business when cheap cord makers undercut their rates too much, and started telling their customers their level of safety cost too much.
Hopefully she won’t catch something along the lines of Cholera or Bilharzia. Just because the crocs didn’t get you does not mean you’re ok.
You left out motorcycle racers and mountain climbers. I feel slighted.
she looks about 12, but if she was a cat, there’s 8 of her 9 lives gone right there!

We can only hope that they eventually move on to Russian roulette.
My daughter bungee jumped off of that same bridge in 2009.
