I wouldn’t be surprised if he was there on a covert mission. But whether he was or not, the penalty of execution is not acceptable and clearly the Iranians are doing this in a desperate attempt to do anything they can to get back at the US.

If he was there on a covert mission, we wouldn't know his real name, where he was from, any military service, etc.

Lot of fishy things about this story. Not buying that he was an operative for us.

I dont’ know why we didn’t use Saddam to eliminate Iran and then from Iran, attack Iraq and take out Saddam. It would have eliminated two enemies and letting God get rid of Kim Jong Il would have made things quite perfect.
