A computer file with pasted in signatures and stamps is not a document like you have. There is no similarity in origin or in legality.

To my knowledge, only Obama's staff and perhaps a reporter or two has even SEEN Obama's paper copy. The Computer file has accomplished what Obama wanted politically, and that was to make most of the questions about his birth certificate go away. The only people left looking at it are us persistent types. :)

I think if Obama needed a document for court, he could get a paper copy of exactly what he has shown from the DOH in Hawaii. I believe THEY created it in accordance with normal state policies and procedures governing replacement birth certificates, and it is LEGAL, but not an original. The Original is sealed in a vault somewhere, and I suspect it to be based on an "at home birth " affidavit signed by his Grandmother Madelyn Dunham.

What in the world makes you think there is one? The very existence of a digital file with cut and pasted signatures and stamps argues against the idea that HDOH ever made a paper BC.

On this issue, DL, I think you are absolutely right. As Kenny Bunk has repeatedly pointed out, what HI did was create an “abstract”. (Once, I believe [don’t have the cite] they even identified it as such.) An Abstract is nothing like an original LF BC. In this case, the info contained would be exactly what Obama wanted it to contain. If KB will forgive me, I’ll quote one of the times he made that case. He does it better than I do:

‘In the first place, there is no BC. What the WH received from the HIDOH was a digitally prepared ABSTRACT of data on file with the HIDOH. It is a newly created document, not a copy of an existing LFBC.

What the WH did was to COPY that ABSTRACT and release it to the press, allowing everyone to assume that it was a copy of the LFBC.

As an ABSTRACT
it cannot purport to contain
ALL the info on the original document,
just what the ABSTRACTOR deems important.

[What the world] assumes is that this is the BC. It just ain’t.’
