“Bill Daley took Emanuels place as chief of staff with the charge to be the White Houses bridge to the business community.”
Never thought of the White House Chief of Staff position as the bridge to the business community, but thinking back on Donald Regan’s memoir, perhaps it is.
It is also, apparently “Chief Scapegoat”.
Wow, I love this guy’s writing!
It's a justified dig at Daley but it also applies to Obama, whose juvenile worldview is city-scale at best.
To have this happen in an election year - did ya notice how this got very little play in the MSM? If this were Bush’s Chief of Staff they would have all needed to change their panties because their glee would have caused them to mess themselves.

WWBDD? What will Bill Daley do? Readers offer their ideas.

President Barack Obama, a stranger to these lands of late, returns to Chicago on Wednesday to pick up oodles of ridiculous political cash from rich people in private so he can demonize other rich people in public and play the reformer.
And so, I asked my Facebook friends the all-important question:
WWBDD?
What Will Bill Daley Do?
Will he come back home by us over by here and park in a big comfy chair, so Mayor Rahm Emanuel can climb up and sit in his lap and make decisions about how to run Chicago?
