btw, Clapton is my 'guitar god'. when I 'grow up' I'd like to play 1/3 as good as Slowhand does. (I'm 63, I better hurry ;-))

Then you can remember the days when grafitti proclaiming "Clapton Is God!" was not uncommon.....

Yeah, Clapton made quite a career out of covering J.J. Cale’s songs...;-)

Oh, Heck Yeah.
I was in my prime when that Garage Door (or was it a wall?) was painted with that -- and the pic of dog peeing on it was shot :-)

an aside:
The first time I heard Duane Eddy on the radio that was 'finally it' for me, I HAD to learn to play the guitar 'some day'. And living in Chi we'd go to the 'Maxwell St Flea Market' almost every Sunday. I didn't want to leave from the 'Negroes playing that 'cool music' (Blues)' there on the street curb. I had to be dragged away. That was in 1955 & 56 & I was 7 & 8. But man o man, I loved that sound.
