Right out of the box, we get the daily Rush bash.
Savage should learn to curb his jealousy.

Someone on Savage’s 1/10/12 observed that sometimes the thread appears in the News/Activism thread and many other times in the TalkRadio thread.

Why is that?

Shoveled 6 inches of globull warming today.

We have barely had any real winter so far this year. A few times, the temps dropped into the 20s or teens at night, but rise back to the mid 60s in a few days. No snow, no ice. We might get a skiff out of the storm approaching tonight and tomorrow.

Last year, by this time, we were finishing one major snow dump and another was on the way. We ended up with one snowfall of 27.5" (IIRC) which broke the all-time state record for a single snowfall.

talkradio thread?

I put ‘talkradio’ in the keywords, so if you search the keywords you come up with Savage,Levin, Rush, etc,

I certainly agree but they all do it.. Levin, Ingraham.. I even heard Tom Sullivan say today that someone copied his thoughts.

Savage is by far the worse.

I recall Rush getting an email from a popular female commentator taking him to task because he'd said something that she had on her website and he did not credit her! Of course there was no connection and that's why Rush read the email and you could hear the paper being wadded up to illustrate the point.

Supersize my Ego please, God. I want to be on the radio when I grow up!

It may be a matter of delay. At first I didn’t see today’s thread in the forum that comes up via “Keyword:talkradio.” It is there now, about 30 minutes later. The one under “Forum: News/Activation” I did see much earlier.

Since Tom Sullivan comes right after Limbaugh, it sounds sometimes Sullivan is copying the lovable fuzzball.

Well, I never hear the other talkers.
Rush and Savage are already too much talk for one day.

I use to pay for Rush until I found a way to automatically
record him as I sleep.
Savage come on just as I wake up.

Savage goes after Newt again for his looks. Silly attack. The policies and agenda are what matter. He gets stuck on this, mean spirited.

Has there ever been a movie made that could not be related to life in one way or the other. So what's the big deal about "conscious streaming" except as an euphemism for no show prep?

Now it appeared that he was about to start reading some of the tens of thousands (literally) of pages of his logs, papers, fiction, whatever.. it's one of those days so off to Groucho's. If he going on and on about himself (not likely. dogs yes but not himself) there are still others

(I have no favorites. I comment on all of them.. talk shows should be about America IMO.)

Were you listening when that LA pro basketball player was accused of rape in Colorado?

Everyday Savage found one way or another to quote the "victim's" comment about size. So I figured that's the real fascination with the movie.

Don't put a monitor aboard the Internet! Warder boarding the Internet should be illegal!

The caller was from Lexington. Lexington, Kentucky was very popular with entertainers I recall from the '40 and '50s. They flocked there. There's a federal hospital for the treatment of addicts there.

Well now Savage is doing a George Noory act. :) I'm telling ya, Savage could take 80 percent of C2C listeners if he'd do a late show.

CoastToCoastAM is the most listened-to show on late night and probably has more stations than Rush. C2C is number one in major markets.

It gets a lot of ridicule -- often deserved.

Savage's "conscious streaming" would serve him well in that paranormal market -- and his PhD and masters would make it a cinch dealing with real science other than the paranormal -- AND Savage does not blame the Bush family for all the ills in the world since the beginning of time like Noory and guests do.

Savage would be Number One in that time slot.

Savage once mocked Art Bell while playing sci-fi music, called himself Mike Bell broadcasting from the desert.

Just in case.. I doubt that Savage's comments about the ne'er do well critics of his had anything to do with my comments today; but I want to confess that I got no formal education.

I could not read or write until I found an unopened bottle of Hadacol that my grandad gave me when I was ten. I found it about 15 years ago and after that one bottle I scored above average on the GRE -- it's still ain't one of them collage things and I am still a (happy) nobody but . . . .

Re: Savage and the movie Wonderland ...All his talk about it got me curious ...So I checked out some reviews on IMB ...and what did I discover ? That Savage , speaking as if he was his own rundown , quoted this person’s review almost verbatim , self-deleting at will .If you don’t believe me , listen to a podcast of today’s show , about 30+ minutes into it .

” One of the most disturbing and tragic periods in American history began. The members of the Summer of Love culture, at the end of the seventies and onset of the 80’s, were eventually too old for love beads and all night parties and evolved back into mainstream life, whatever that meant. For those who could not out grow their youthful and sometimes irrational exuberance, their’s was the culture of Wonderland. A love for drugs and a sense of entitlement coupled with a distaste for authority, values and “the establishment”.

The sixties were a time of revolution and violent change that tore the American “house” apart. Once the battles were over, we all had to deal with the aftermath of the carnage. The characters in the Wonderland house are icons of the misfits of the Seventies; part biker, part hippie, part crook, all outcast. No ideology to express, just a sense of dissatisfaction with everything and allegiance to nothing. Ron, Billy and David fancy themselves as some sort of Robin Hoods with dope. They talk of love and behave violently; they take from the rich and sell to the misbegotten; they steal from everyone.”
