Obama unveils outsourcing attack against Romney

Reporting from Washington and Chicago— Without ever mentioning Mitt Romney by name, President Obama on Wednesday introduced a theme he’s certain to use often against the leading candidate for the Republican presidential nomination: that he helped send American jobs overseas during his corporate career. In a White House seminar on creating domestic jobs, Obama praised corporate executives who have expanded their workforces in the United States. The president also proposed tax code changes to encourage such decisions.

“That’s exactly the kind of commitment to country that we need, especially right now,” Obama said. “We’re in a make-or-break moment for the middle class and those aspiring to get in the middle class here in the United States.”

Obama’s “In-sourcing American Jobs Forum” marked the continuation of a recent theme by the president’s campaign to portray Republicans -- Romney in particular -- as being the party that protects big business and Wall Street at the expense of American workers.

Thanking the leaders of firms as varied as Ford, DuPont, Intel, Master Lock and Chesapeake Bay Candle for promises to shift jobs back to the states, Obama specifically cited the need to help the “middle class” seven times in his 15-minute address as he continued to push for a full-year extension of the payroll tax cut. With the national unemployment rate at 8.5%, Obama emphasized the responsibility of companies to hire American workers.

Posting this because BO and the Dems badly want Romney as the front-runner and this is one of the weapons in their arsenal.

Who is really responsible for sending all those jobs overseas?

Look for a set of items for BO to trot out between now and November. One of them is "middle class" and "jobs at home." The other will have to do with the military. I believe there is a set schedule for these smoke bombs. Should be another thread on this.

Didn’t the Obozo just “outsource” the creation of his re-election anthem to two Frenchmen? And didn’t he approve billions in funding to Brazil to develop their oil? And didn’t he approve more billions in funding to that Swedish electric car company to create their idiotic electric cars? And aren’t his ludicrous policies driving jobs out of the US by overregulation and fear of Obamacare? Bash Romney all you want, but who’s the real outsourcer?

GOP easily can refute this. Dems controlled Congress before 2010 with BO. Why did they give money to the Wall Street banks after they destroyed 11 million American jobs and did nothing to stop corporate America from offshoring jobs overseas? Now facing reelection he promises the American people he will do that??? Further more, why didn’t BO enforce illegal immigration laws during a severe recession so we can free up jobs for unemployed poor or working poor Americans???? Also when BO gave money to green technologies why did many of the products ended up being manufactured overseas and not in the US? If he cared about American jobs, why didn’t he require green companies getting US taxpayer grants/loans to build all products here????? If BO think Wall Street is responsible for our mess, why does he go to them for campaign donations and $ 35K per plate events hosted by Wall Street banksters.

How about Brazilian ethanol subsidies and not letting America drill our own oil while Cuba does?

Newt’s acting like a whining baby. I’m no fan of Romney; in fact, I don’t care who it is now that Pawlenty and Cain are out of it. They were my choices, and now I’ll vote for whoever the nominee is and I just pray it’s not Ron Paul. And, if you’re a Paul fan, go right ahead and vent; it makes no difference to me. I’m tired of all the bashing and all these idiotic debates about contraception and who-called-who-a-liar-first and who’s a capitalist and who isn’t. Any single one of the Republican candidates would be worlds better than the Obozo.

Yes but Wall Street won’t be able to get that message out with someone like Mitt Gecko speaking for our side.
